I can see some agencies/girls ask for a $$$, $$$$ or $$$50 donation.  But how does the $$$25 work?  I would feel really silly to bring a 5 dollar bill or 5 singles with me.  Would probably prefer bringing all 20s without the 5.

I believe that the appropriate handling is all $20's, and a roll of dimes.

Because most gentlemen would feel the same as you.

you bring 330. or 340

Personally, the roll of dimes is funny and should be done.

are we somehow worried that we might actually overpay her by $5 - $20 when we are paying hundreds? Ok I have to be reading this wrong. Help me!!

A gentleman rounds up all the time.  Not everyone on this board is a gentleman.  If you count pennies, you need another hobby.

good marketing.....you think you are getting a good deal(cheaper
rate)but any guy always rounds to the nearest even amount(i.e.
325=340,350=360,and so on).

the gent brings 17 twenties, 1 five and 5 ones for my $350 donation. After I've worked my heart out and see that I think,,,,,,,,,Geesh!

Maybe the $25 extra fee is to help defray the cost of the hotel, airfare, etc. I've tried to raise my rates when I tour NYC but that goes over like a pregnant high jumper. I'm heading up in September and not only are there not ANY hotels available where I usually stay the 2 stars are a fortune. I won't raise my donation but you big city guys ought to consider that cost for us to travel to you and at least throw the extra $10 in. 18 twenties seems a lot more generous. LOL

I know a who raised her rate to $325 from $$$.  She hadn't done it in quite some time but then also offered discounted multiple rates.

I always round up.  Frankly, it is easier and just courtesy.  Besides, ATM machines only give out $20s, LOL.

wants a tip, who doesn't, who wants more money but doesnt raise rates, then complains on the board because she's losing money or not making enough in certain markets. Look, at the risk of lecturing, I have a business also. I chose my markets based on demand and profitability for time worked. If certain job areas dont pay well enough, I dont go there. You ladies cant complain. You are each independent contractors competing in a limited market. Learn how to run your business most effectively like I see some providers like Ciara do. She is a good business woman. Learn from her. I would bet that when she comes to NYC, she even knows to ask for soda, not pop!

Try Priceline.com if you have no brand loyalty.  It's not just NYC but you can define the area--Times Square, Financial District, etc.  If you are a member of a hotel frequent guest program, use points instead of $$.

I never use less than 50's and I would not think of asking for change.  There are times when watching small numbers may be appropriate- this hobby is not one of them.
