Houston, more than anywhere else, seems to be dominated by "spas and studios." Although there are some indys, seems like a place where the occasional visitor has a tough time getting outcall (even to a nice hotel).
Any guys and gals with experience/insight, please educate me (PM is cool if that's what it takes).
Interestingly, Houston is one of those towns where the whole thing is a little more out in the open. There used to be a lot of independent "stress relief clinics" but almost all have been gobbled up by the "Escape in Houston" chain. Almost all of their business is massage-initiated incall, so there may still be a good market for outcall. Plus, many locals may be uncomfortable about the visibility of the well-known "clinics" and would be more comfortable going to a business-caliber hotel for incall. Also, some may be tired of the massage-style of session and want to try something different.
Ladies from around the country flock to the hosting Superbowl city each year. Most of them make a fortune during that week. You don't have to limit yourself to the local flavor during this time frame.

I'm down there at least one time a month, so have done my rounds there.
As far as outcall, at this time there is just no one that really gives dependable service left. You will be taking your chances.
Insofar as incall, you are so right: incall massage and sporadic service. You pay your money and, often, get just horrid service in return.
Houston has absolutely nothing to do, no sites to see, nothing.
Take your time, rent a car if you flew in to Houston, and drive over to Austin (2 hrs. away), San Antonio (2-1/2 hrs. away) or New Orleans (6 hrs. away) if you really want to have some fun. Tons to do in those cities.
Houston--and it's spas and those outcall services connected--are just not worth the money or the time. I've been there and done that just too many times, and been disappointed every time.
Leave Houston and have some fun in another city. At least, you will be able to sitesee something interesting.

I used to go to aspd, also, and check. UNRELIABLE would be the kindest thing I could say about it. Forget that board totally as it is a waste of time, and seems to be a public relations tool for the spas and selected few there.
It would be my guess is that this person has an issue with either ASPD or someone in Houston. I have always enjoyed my time in Houston. A large number of spa girls I have no problem scheduling, also a nice group of indie who give quality service.
Horrible service always? sounds like someone who has been banned from either an establisment or a board. I have had great service from every establishment I have visited and all indies.
Wow that’s a little rough perhaps saying more about the poster than the city, I’ve been all over the world and Houston is pretty damn hobby friendly from Strip clubs with reasonably priced extras, very friendly spas and Independents that are fan-fucking-tastic!
Even just using TER as a tool ignoring EROS, ASPD, YMMV or YMWV a gentleman would be more likely than not be very happy in Houston. Sure the traffic is hell and the Super bowl crowds will just make it worse. But you might want to try a funhoustondate or Escape or a wildflower. Sweet 8, XTC or La Femme it’s all good most of the time it’s great.

I just got back from their today and your observation about "spas and studios" is correct. Some of these places can also be very busy and tough to schedule at too. To make matters worse, just because a lady is scheduled and you have an appointment doesn't mean she will feel like working that day when she wakes up that day.
Some of the spas do offer outcall for a slightly higher price which is lower than prices you see in many areas. If you can get by the hangup of going to an incall spa, you will find many attractive young ladies who offer excellent service...on the days they feel like working.
TER is the best overall site for our hobby but for some reason a site called www.aspd.net seems to be used by the locals in Texas more frequently. At the very least it complements the information you will find on this site. You will find links/reviews for independents in Houston here as well.
Somebody mentioned visitors being driven by the Super Bowl. This did happen last year in SD but it may be less in Houston because the market is so saturated. I've attached a link to the Eros SW "what's new" information.
Good luck! You can have a great experience in Houston for an amazing price if you do your homework.

There are independents not affiliated with Escape or any other spas in Houston and most of us offer outcall as an option. I know of some indy's who only offer outcall. One of the differences between us and the agencies is that you can sometimes call an agency with short notice, but most indy's need a little notice so that we may screen (especially during Superbowl time). Good luck finding what you're looking for and enjoy your time in Houston.

I live in Houston,and yes there is an abundance of incall
spas here.I have been to the "escape" spas many times,and had
some really great experiences.I have also had some pretty
crappy ones to. I feel the trick is to do your TER research
and find a spa that works for you and stick with it.Luckily
I have found such a place,and I try to go there exclusively.
Some of the providers at these spas are very service oriented
while others,mainly the ones who work six,and sometimes even
seven days a week,are not.I feel that these are the ones to
shy away from,due to...well...burnout. Some of these providers only work one or two days for a total of maybe 10 or 12 hours a week.These I have found to be alot funner,because they actually have a life outside of the spa,and it shows in their service.The whole spa scene is definitly YMMV. Either you're into it or not.Personally,I don't see the need to have the added expense of having to get a hotel room,on top of the higher price for an outcall,for your basic one hour session. I go to these spas because it works for me.

using aspd I found that the massage parlors have the most activity . ALSO THERE ARE JAPANESE WOMEN WORKING IN MANY OF THE MASSAGE PARLORS UNLIKE LOS ANGELES CALIF WERE THEY ARE ALMOST ALWAYSkorean,hisapnic or russian
