How could anyone consider Modest Mussorgsky a "great classical composer?"  He was basically a one hit wonder with his "Pictures at an Exhibition," but even then he only wrote the melody, the orchestration was done by Maurice Ravel.  The nerve of those Bolshoi people!

Now I know why I didn't have more piano students during my long teaching career. I didn't emphasize the "finer" points of music history often enough.
