It's a well known fact that even words that would be considered patently obscene and 'rude' in the average social situation can come across as an incredible turn-on in the bedroom.  The opposite can be true as well -- 'polite' language can be distinctly offputting in an intimate setting.

It really all comes down to *attitude*.  What is the desired goal of the communication?  To inform?  Excite?  Honor?  Put down?  There is a whole lot more to human communication than just words.  An entire complex of physiological cues are involved, including body lanaguage, facial expression, tone of voice, etc.  Most human beings are remarkably good at integrating all of these cues together to get a picture of what the other person is trying to say.  Indeed, it's the absence of these other markers that makes communications via Internet (limited to just the written word) so famously (and sometimes hilariously) easy to misinterpret.

So, to answer your question in a somewhat broader fashion:  I would regard as distasteful any communication that attempts to disparage a person's dignity as a human being.  I would regard such a communication as distasteful regardless if it were being directed to me, or any one else.

I hear ya!  Even in the trashiest of dirty talking, that word just wouldn't appeal to me and I wouldn't use it.  I'm not offended by it, just doesn't do anything for me, doesn't sound sexy to me in any context.

Not as sure about "broad" though...  seems more context sensitive.  If someone said "That Ciara is one tough broad" that just sounds much more palletable than something like "I picked up a couple of broads at the party."
