Re:Performance issues with SO, will viagra help?

I am approaching 50, and am starting to run into performance issues with the SO, who is a few years older than me.  I do fine with nice, young providers, but my member has a mind of its own and is now refusing to stand at attention for the SO's pussy, who I would still like to fuck at least once or twice a month.

Would viagra or one of the other boner pills solve the problem? Preferred time of activity is saturday or sunday morning.

With providers, the only problem I have is that it takes more time to reload and go a second time, as much as 30-40 minutes sometimes.

Viagra will work. Takes an hour for full effect. Medical insurance now typically covers one pill a week with a co-pay. Also, a urologist could prescribe a drug called Muse. It's a suppository inserted into the penis canal or it can be delivered another way with a syringe and needle into a penis vein. Works in 10 minutes. It's not as bad as it sounds. A little saline solution squirted on the tiny tube makes it easy to insert. Also, you can also have the doc prescribe testosterone if your sex drive is diminished. Testosterone comes in either injection form--I do my own in my leg, or your wife can be trained to give it to you in your butt. If these don't work, a nurse can do it every 3-4 weeks. Or, you can shave your balls and put an adhesive patch on your scrotum every day. It really brings back the desire and you'll walk around with that long-forgotten ball churn and continual arousal.  It's a bit more expensive because you'll be looking more frequently for a provider to provide release.

I had the same problem. Gets up just fine for a sexy provider but wants to hide from the over weight SO. Viagra wont help if it's not phyical. You still have to stir desires for it to work.My ex thought I was impotent. I didn't have the heart to tell her it was only with her and besides that way she never suspected me seeing providers. If you want to kep her you better seek a good counselor and get to the real problem. Why doesn't she turn you on? Seeing providers can be a reason. Sometimes it's guilt and sometimes it's just being spoiled by better sex. Which is it for you?

ThWhile V will  certainly help your  problem, insure that you WANT to do the deed with the person you are with (It is not "magic erection time") one must be  stimulated in order for it to function. Do not forget to take  a couple of aspirin, or such  headache pills beforehand, as  V may  give you  a headache, and congestion symptoms. It did me, when I tried  the samples given to me  by   my MD. Regarding TESTOSTERONE  Shots-  Be aware that it  can   bring on  Prostate problems with it.!!!.  Just my  honest opinion with the experience  encountered using both.
I now take  natural herbs, and they work quite well  with no side effects.

Can you recommend a brand/source?

I have been on Androgel for about three weeks to try and help recover my non-existant sex drive but it has not helped yet. Androgel is a form of testosterone replacement. It is a clear gel that you rub on your shoulders every morning.

The longer this goes on though I'm beginning to doubt there is a way to recover your sex drive. I think once you've lost the desire to have sex anymore, it's gone for good and there's no way to get it back.

You do have to have desire and be turned on in order for Viagra or any other ED drug to work. Believe me I've been there and done that. Because I have totally lost my sex drive I have to take massive, even dangerous, amounts of all three ED drugs in order to even function for about 5 minutes.

So CC is correct that you have to have desire in order for those drugs to work.

Hey Guys....excercise a little and keep the blood flowing to all of the right palces. It's tough to have the love stick perform at a championship level when the rest of the body is home for the holidays.

Stay in decent shape and then the blue pill can peform it's magic.

...I found that with the V pill it doesn't take nearly the amount of "stimulation" my doctor said it would. Ninety-nine percent of the time Little Lex is raring to go with even the vaguest thought of being with a woman... Sometimes just her smile will wake him up... sometimes just the sound of my knocking on the door of her incall...

At least you're having those stimulating thoughts. Hang on to that good feeling because when it leaves, it's gone for ever.

Search back over the last year or so on these forums, and you'll see that he already has seen a Urologist.  He's been told his problem is psychological but doesn't seem to believe it, though, if you read all his posts, it obviously IS a psychological problem.

wireless vibrating bullet in it. Love it!! the same still aplies. You have to be turned on for anything but an implant to work.If your SO is Twice the woman (weight)she was when you met her and this repulses you then Viagra is only going to give you the head ache.At the same time you may find a visit with a hot young thin sex kitten may do more than all the ED meds out there.

The reason it's not a psychological problem is that it happened overnight after getting very sick for a couple of days. I don't know how you are so sure that it is psychological because there is nothing that would indicate that.

check your testosterone level first and if low (200) ask for androgel which takes a few months for full effect(brought mine up to 750),try l-arginine (google for information,) supposedly similar effect as viagra, with 100 mg Viagra . the other things sound like fun for an S&M session. If that doesn't have your SO have her intestine stapled.

How am I so sure?  The fact that you posted once saying that docs told you that you should seek psychological help.  That's why I'm pretty sure.

SO used to be a lot heavier than she is now, and I did OK.  I think it mostly me getting older and bored with fucking the same pussy over and over.  I used to be able to compensate by thinking about a fantasy or a provider that I recently saw, but that doesn't seem to work any more.  I am sure part of it is anxiety from worrying about performance.  General level of sex drive is OK.  I could see providers all the time if I had the funds.  Also, I have had a lot of work-related stress lately.

In the meantime, I am taking care of the SO with DATY, which I still enjoy.  I am interested in hearing more about natural herbs, which ones work best.

I think maybe I'll try a cock ring first.  I can get hard during DATY or receiving BBBJ from the SO, but I start going soft when I move into position for mish.  Maybe if she puts the cock ring on after giving me head, that might work.

(Unfortunately, she is rarely able to BBBJ long enough to get me off that way.)

I have since learned that they were not testing for the right things and that there are doctors out there who specialize in this kind of thing. I'm in the process of trying to find one.

is diabetes.

There are millions of undiagnosed diabetics out there...especially overweight persons approaching or passing middle age.  Diabetes can slow down blood flow and cause impotence.  But improved blood sugars can repair the damage.  It's easy to diagnose - just requires a blood test.  If you have a weight issue...and especially with a family history, this is an obvious thing to test for and, if nothing else, you can at least eliminate one possiblity.

I'm 6 ft. 1 in. and weigh 155lbs so weight is not an issue. I almost would like to gain about 20 or so LOL. I was adopted so I don't know my families history. Diabetes has been checked several times in my regular physicals and has not been found.

Something triggered inside my brain when I got sick that made women unappealing to me. It also has caused me to have severe brain fog and lack of concentration. Hormones became unbalanced or something. I'm trying to get in and see a doctor who specializes in male andropause and hypogonadism but he's about 6 hours away from me.

If you've been checked for blood sugars, diabetes is not likely an issue.  But I did want to clarify the point about weight.

Persons with Type 2 diabetes (it used to be called adult onset before so many children began having it) are usually overweight, and usually middle age or older.  Their pancreas does not produce enough insulin for the carbs they're consuming or there is an absorption delay or some related problem.

Persons with Type One diabetes (used to be called juvenile diabetes) produce no insulin at all.  As a result, if they are not taking insulin injections, carbs cannot be proceesed in their bodies and they lose weight.  Thus, being 6'1" and 155 lbs. is a possible side effect.  If untreated, persons with type one eventually fall into a coma and die from starvation.  Along the way, they become thirsty and thin and piss all the time as their body tries to rid itself of the excess sugar that is not being absorbed.

You say you've been checked, so it's not likely to be an issue for you (unless you were checked long ago, before these issues began)...but someone could be checked at one time and then develop the problem later.  IF you are having any of the other symptoms I mentioned - SERIOUS uncontrolled thirst and CONSTANT need to piss - get to a dr. today and demand a blood test, you almost definitely have type one diabetes.

I did. They said that they do not deal with lost libido issues they only deal with men who want sex but cannot function. They told me this after I had driven 4 hours to their location so I wasted an 8 hour trip.
