Marketing 201 - websites

The post below about marketing prompts this observation:  I am far more likely to see a provider if her website tells me something about her personality and brain:  what her interests are, what books she's read or movies or shows she likes, where she's traveled, what she does with her spare time.  Also, I'm far more likely to spend multiple hours if I know that.  Sadly, most websites focus only on the physical and give scant attention to other dimensions.  Good examples of what I find interesting are Jade Savina's in Dallas and NOSC's.

Guys - do you agree?

While I don't actually disagree, websites are clearly serving a bunch of different aspects. Thousands of guys with thousands of hot buttons matrixed across thousands of gals with thousands of requirements means one size rarely fits all.

Escort Malls and Craigslist seem to attract many of those but at the same time turn off as many more. Personal websites detailing all the minutia of her life is a turn on to some and a turn off to others. Just like whips and chains would be.

The websites that speak to you often do so because you are the target. The site is their opinion of what they have to say to get you to call them. Hundreds more just don't want multi-hour to even come up and if you don't like their website... "whew, dodged another" would probably escape their lips.

Whether a gal is building and designing the website herself or having someone do it for her, it probably reflects the gal. Even down to the decision to lift the words or create her own.

Your feedback needs to go to the gal... so she can factor it into her design decisions.  Perhaps you're doing that via this thread and I'm being dense?

I do agree, and I think reviews would be much more useful if they included some measurement or description of personality, charm and intelligence.

Maybe she copied it from the website of an escort with brains.
Maybe hear webmaster/webmistress wrote it for her.
You've gotta exchange some e-mails or IM to learn whether or not she has more than one brain cell (too often a rarity IMHO).

The one I got on a daily basis.

1) Muscat
2) Oban
3) Guinness (Hey, Bloomsday is starting in three months in Ireland, I gotta get in shape)
4) Fancy smelly cheeses that compliment my sulfite ridden Shiraz from Australia
5) Champagne grapes from Farmer's Market with my champagne
6) pot brownies (Amen)

Michelle -- off subject, but I was there last week and so disappointed in the Farmer's Market.  The one in Union Square in NYC is so much better.  A real farmer's market with neat stuff like arugala blossoms, ramps (in spring) and a dozen varieties of fingerling potatoes.  (potatos?  he he...)  And by Oban, you mean the single malt?   Ummmm...makes me smell peat...

Yes, love Oban. Arugala blossoms sound amazing. What color are they? And what is a ramp? I have nevr been to NYC., but I plan on going in a few months.

They're white, kind of like baby's breath, but tiny.  Ramps are wild leeks; they have a flavor somewhere between garlic and onions with a certain nuttiness.  I'll email you my top ten for NYC; I lived there for 30 years, go back often and make like a good tourist.

I think cooking is so relaxing. I really do love just seeing what is available at the outdoor markets and then crafting a menu around it, selecting wine, and cheese with fresh bread to make the certain vegetable stand out. The flavor is so intense, and the color so vivid in organic foods. I am a serious fan of Iron Chef. I loved the octopus one. Yes please email me your favorites!

Totally agree.

When I first started out as in internet escort, I didn't know where to start.  So I (very naughtily) went around other girl's websites and stole a line from here, and another from there.  Mostly girls from America as it happens!  lol.. Sorry girls. Anyway, this worked fine.

However, with my second website, I decided to sit down and describe myself as I would to anyone who'd never met me.  The result was a piece of writing which is now commented on by most who read it.  I used to be told that I had lovely pics.. now, I'm told that they love what I've written about.. Which is really good.. because I get like minded clients coming to see me. :)

it's interesting that you should mention this because i get alot of providers who tell me that i have to much personal info on my website and i get mixed reactions from clients but their opinions mean less to me than the guys, clients who tell me that they really enjoy reading my diary and like that it shows what my personality is really like, it shows how intelligent i am and the things that I think about, it shows how silly i am, it shows my likes and dislikes and i also find that in return I enjoy my time much more with those types of guys who know more about me, they seem to treat me with more respect and are more sensitive towards me.

I try to give some details about myself on a website and some educational background. However, some men might find that vain. I think it depends on the gentleman.
