Yet another hobbying threat--scabies

I got scabies from a favorite provider. Man, that is the worst experience ever. Never even knew there were such things. When I applied the cream medicine, hundreds of the little things started crawling outa my skin. Much worse than crabs because they are all over your body. If you begin to frantically itch after seeing someone, check it out before they get too much of a foothold.

but are you saying scabies are actual bugs? Because that's beyond gross. Anyone care to opine on the odds of this happening to an average hobbyist???

Are you sure it was from her? You can get scabies from any other sources, including sheets.

Is important to lay on clean sheets...specially with bed bugs infesting even the 4 and 5 stars hotel beds.

Ladies, If your client looks like this:
You (Hopefully) would turn him away anyways.

Ya' probably could have avoided a lot of problems by staying whithin your species.

Sheep
Cattle
Fowl
Primates… etc etc.  Sheesh! At least I got "some" standards.

Actually, if it's true the gestation period is 4-6 weeks and you just saw the provider, then not only is unlikely she exposed you to scabies but now you have exposed her to scabies.

Either way I think it would be prudent to contact her and see if you can get this stopped before it spreads to others.

Nearly my whole apartment complex got it in southern California. A lady friend of one of our next-door neighbor's roommates came back from a trip to Europe (staying in hostels, etc.) and gave it to everyone. It was horrible. Itched for days until someone finally went and saw a doctor and told us all about it. With the medicine, Quell {sic}, it was gone in no time. You can get this from sheets and other places, and the itching's usually worse at night (for some reason). It's not a tragedy, for God's sake, but it is annoying and disgusting to think about it.

Hugs,
Ciara
