Today I got this on my office computer in my e-mail. I have never been interested in nor have I contacted these ladies, but I did recognize the name from postings here. How they got my e-mail address is a puzzle. I can only assume that some provider with whom I've corresponded handed it over.

If you put yourself on a mailing list, then yes you should expect this, if not NO WAY. That is wrong.
If you want to hire someone you will look, not have the ladies come to you.

Nope, I'm on no mailing lists by my doing.
I know who this lady (wrong term) is because some time ago there was a post about or by her and I linked to her sight. In fact I think it was a post about a change in name of the site due to a conflict with someone else. It also seems that there were two women using a common site with a sub link to each of their individual details.
Anyway that viewing of her site was it. The only possible way that I can imagine any connection. And that certainly would in no way connect her to my e-mail address.
It's odd how much this irritates me. It's really nothing to worry about I suspect, but it just bites.
