There's a well known maxim, the Golden Rule, that if applied in the hobby and in general most of the world's problems would disappear. But it couldn't be THAT simple... could it? We could all try it and see what happens... 
... since I am old , and for a moment I was thinking, "What?? Do all women from the Barrington Swim Club behave badly?"
Especially in this very small world, your reputation matters. It is not uncommon to be appreciated for being a gentleman.
Those who act with crassness and disrespect over courtesy earn their reputations and suffer for it in many ways.
As in the larger world, we are real men and real women arranging real dates, living out real fantasies. As in the larger world, the women will quickly separate the wheat from the chaff... and choose who they will tolerate (or not).
Try as you may, you cannot change the few miscreant men and BSC women either here or in the larger world.
Just do you; you're doing fine.
