I'm 70  & had my very first session ever with a provider 8 days ago. Loved it so much I booked with a different provider who was going to be in town on 2/16. Yesterday i had to cancel & e-mailed the provider to inform her. She e-mailed me back thanking me for being considerate. She seemed surprised I would let her know. Is this uncommon? Should I be a guy who doesn't give a crap about other people's schedules or feelings? Should I walk into a room & say hey babe, get naked, suck my dick & swallow it all? Has society gone to hell when I wasn't watching? Little things like that are starting to piss me off.
Road rage, not respecting each other, not listening to each other even though we may not agree. Thanks for letting me vent.

as a guy approaching that golden age, I must say I concur 100%.

Getting crotchety at young whipper-snappers is something I've been looking forward to doing for years.

Consideration for another human being.
So Refreshing.

The boys that do not have manners "doesn't give a crap about other people's schedules or feelings."
have / had a mother, sister, girlfriend, wife, aunt,
that taught him that is was OK to behave this way to females.

Especially in this very small world, your reputation matters. It is not uncommon to be appreciated for being a gentleman.

Those who act with crassness and disrespect over courtesy earn their reputations and suffer for it in many ways.

As in the larger world, we are real men and real women arranging real dates, living out real fantasies. As in the larger world, the women will quickly separate the wheat from the chaff... and choose who they will tolerate (or not).

Try as you may, you cannot change the few miscreant men and BSC women either here or in the larger world.

Just do you; you're doing fine.

... the guys who don't give a crap about other people's schedules or feelings and think nothing of blowing off an appointment with a provider with little or no notice are some of the first to complain loudly if a provider cancels on or NCNSes them.

There's a well known maxim, the Golden Rule, that if applied in the hobby and in general most of the world's problems would disappear. But it couldn't be THAT simple... could it?  We could all try it and see what happens...  :)

... since I am old :-), and for a moment I was thinking, "What?? Do all women from the Barrington Swim Club behave badly?"

But it's OK, the Urban Dictionary has once again helped me pretend to belong to the twenty-first century.

And that codger digression aside, what you've said here is very true.  OP, you are indeed making a good start.  You are being yourself, and what you are is clearly a gentleman.  Proud to share a generation with you.  :-)

It's astounding to me how many folks seem to plow through life without their misdeeds catching up to them.  In fact, I'd say it's more often the rule that no good deed goes unpunished.  Karma almost never catches up.

So I have taken the attitude that I act like a gentleman without any expectation of eventual reward because a gentleman is who I want to be.  It is who I am.  It is its own reward.

goes along way. That's why I'm always a gentleman with her. I'm not sure why others don't follow suit.

Keep up what you're doing because she'll appreciate it.

Communication is still key, even in this underworld.  You'd be surprised by the end number of folks in this fantasy world we play in do not have common courtesy or respect. Many do,  but there are several who do not.

Shit happens to everyone,  just be mindful.

and we all appreciate that you let us know. I don't book anything unless the other party agreed with my cancellation policy. As long as I am informed 24 hours prior I don't have an issue nor I ask for the cancelation fee.

I  try to behave that way 24/7 and I`m prideful  of that. In fact it`s kinda easy. "Thanks mom, you taught me well"
I`m a Newbie and 2 weeks ago I saw a new girl in Philly (8/9 rated) and got the ball rolling with several courteous emails. Brought flowers to the 2 hr tryst and she loved them, said very, very few guys bring them. What? We spent almost 1hr just talking on the love seat breaking the ice and making a connection. The session was terrific!
As I was about to leave she kissed me and said I might possibly her best ever! Said I was the total gentleman. No way, c`mon, really?
I`m 71, she`s 34 and been providing 5 yrs. Nicest thing any girl ever said to me, ever. Sure felt good on the ride home, I`m still beaming. Courtesy, respect, consideration, goes a loooong way but doesn`t everybody know that?
Seeing her again next week, can`t wait.

I`ll probably get beat up for being too self serving by the usual wolves on this board. That`s ok, been there, done that.
I`m a big boy and living on the Jersey shore prefer rough surf to the kiddie pool.
