I've thought for the longest time now that "The Hobby" has some real potential as a reality show. Consider the cast of characters on the board, amusing anecdotes, sincere emotion, throw in some drama, and a couple catfights from certain local boards. Just think of all the threads you've read here and what great storylines they might be. After all, I "tune in" to this and other boards most nights just to enjoy the "show".
3 or so single hobbiest and there ATFs live together for a resonanble amount of time. Each lady works as a domestic engineer. The guy keeps his regular job.He must do whatever it takes to keep his ATF happy,but he can't give her money, and must make sure she isn't earning any on the side. She must do whatever it takes to keep him from seeing providers, and looking on adult sites but she can't have sex with him. They must sleep together as husband and wife for like 60 days or so. The more I write, the more it sounds like a bad marriage. When the show ends the winners, will split a million dollars. I haven't ironed out all the details, but I'm working on it.
If the money were right, of course there are ladies who would participate. They would have to be identified as "former prostitutes", of course, and they would probably be ladies who have already "outed" themselves to those they care about.
But it could work as a money-maker of a TV show.
But it would end up being really lousy, because the public's apparent need to believe all the stereotypes about prostitutes would be something that the show's makers would not be willing to challenge, and so the show would be "scripted" to reinforce rather than challenge the stereotypes.
