WTF?! Apparently with a little Googling and a lot of time, she was able to put 2 and 2 together and find out my "secret identity"...

She found evidience tying me to this name and googled the name to find this board. I've since removed the offending evidence linking me to this identity, but there's no getting around the fact that the woman knows my...avocation.
The sad part is I kinda liked her (as a friend), but now I feel like she peeked into my diary.

I've usually found that those that know are smart enough to be interesting people - perhaps its time to take the relationship to the next level? Or perhaps just a secret shared...kinda like running into the boss at a swing club (oh wait - thats another story!).

Lex sorry to hear that. To me its like stalking and I'm sure many of the providers wouldnt like it if it was reversed. I know of one provider on this very same thread that has done this before in a different case.
It's an invasion of your privacy and if anything more comes of it you should take some corrective measures.
I'm thinking some of these providers need to take some ethics courses
Lex I have a lot of friends and sure we've Googled each other to see what's up, but we've never spent "a lot of time" in it. Let alone read into "secret identities".
So if you really look at it she's already vested some time in reasearching you so I think it's a safe guess she was researching being a little more than friends.
Her response was "Lex Luethor. That's you!" so she wants you to know she know's and how she found you. The IM wasn't "your a pig" or "you disgust me Lex Luether" etc. She reveled she knows your alter ego, but hasn't given any repulsed indication thus far.
As everyone said your not a s.o.b. so you have nothing to fear from what she read. From what's been stated I don't see much to fear.
Let's not forget that woman like good sex too. If there's one thing that this "hobby" has enhanced my knowledge of it's how to please a woman. So she may just be looking to capitalize on the significant investment you've made into your hobby and bring the knowledge & experience to her.
Geeze thinking about it I think there are a few women here at my office I may drop a sticky note on their desk with my handle.........hmmmmm

What can I say, even superheroes gets their identity unmasked by someone by accident. Since she 'googled' you, she was looking for that elusive connection tying you to Lex.
People tell me I am paranoid in using Aliases here, try letting your SO know about your 'hobby'. Nowadays phone numbers can be googled and I googled mine, it came up with Name AND address! Give out as little info as you can in public for fear of leaving a bread crumb.
She put more than a little effort into finding you, so she must have some interest in you to begin with. Blackmail is illegal in this country btw.

I wasn't sneaking around--just happened to stumble upon his web site visit history when we were using the same (new) computer for a few days.
(And it wasn't just a couple of visits for curiosity's sake--there were a lot of visits to gay porn; none to hetero porn.)
I never told him or anyone else what I found.
This was a few years ago before employers were cracking down on adult sites at work. I'm sure he no longer surfs adult sites at work so his secret should be safe.
Lex, it is a real shame the co-worker was poking into your personal life. Hopefully she will be a friend to you and drop the subject for both your sakes.

I had a girlfriend who when she came to live with me did everything but take my computer apart into it's component electrons in an effort to find something incriminating
She never found anything but that's the reason why I'm here now in this hobby and she's out of my house
