This is directed at Provders:
When a provider asks a new client for references, obviously to check on the new client, does she call the referenced providers? If not, does she check the referenced provider's reviews?
In a nut-shell, just what does she do with the info.? Not too long ago, I was in the position of providing two references and since I had none, I provided a curriculum vitae, and that apparently did the trick, cuz here I am now. Does EROS keep a file on clients? Do providers rveiew their clients ?

When I requeset a reference from a new client, here are the senerious:

#1. If the client already saw another lady, I usually email her. I give the usual info (name, phone #, email addy.) and wait for her response.

#2. If you are a new client who never saw anyone before, I ask for a valid work #. (NOT a direct #.) I like to go through the company directory in the evening when I can listen through the system. ALSO, I go onto a search engine and search the company.

After either one is completed all information is removed. Either shredded or if on the computer, I clean all the files. I don't want your information on file.

On some boards, yes providers do reviews on gents. I do reviews but just not for every client.

I think.  Then again, maybe I couldn't take it.  So ... all I have to do is work with an ATF who has access to the other board info?

I would love to see any reviews on me.

Don't hole your breath on cleaning all the files.  Stuff remains on the hard drive, as I've been told (I'm not all that computer literate myself), for ever.  I do know that one of my lady friends who was in a LE bust was told to bring in her computer as were others.  LE took them apart at the seams and the whole world was in there.

This isn't completely true.  Drives can be cleaned thoroughly and completely, to the point where nothing can be recovered.  The problem is that the average computer user doesn't have the time, or more importantly, the money, to accomplish the task.

Heh...that's funny...I was wondering if I was the only who called during the evening hours to check out the company directory :)
For myself, I have a system of check points I go through, not going to reveal all my tricks as this is a public board and I prefer to stay one step ahead (but always willing to backchannel :) )  Anyways, after going through the checklist and being cautious with new clients, I know that if for some reason things didn't work out, I did the best I could with the resources I had available.
As for questions like these, I don't mind answering some vague roundabout answer, but I hesitate to reveal too much information about my verification process as I wouldn't want to tip off the wrong folks~

i cant speak for everyone, but if a fellow drops names and emails or phone numbers, i verify the Lady first, thru here, then email her and ask is she remembers the gentleman and if there is anything specific i need to know...

usually the answer is What a Sweetie! tell him hello for me :)

but i prefer to search His reviews, and contact the ladies on my own, and occasionally i have decided Not to see a fellow based on his reviews... just once or twice in a couple years, thats not so bad ;)

ive no idea about eros... and ive never seen client reviews, but i know they exist, on other sites...

;)

this a question primarily for bikebryan since he seems to be knowledgable about computer stuff,  but hopefully is of more general interest.  Do programs like "window washer" or "evidance eliminator" actually work or are we just wasting our money on these?  thanks

Window Washer and Evidence Eliminator work for the casual user, but won't suffice if a truly knowledgeable person with a proper lab and resources wants to recover anything.  Trust me, the big boys don't run out and buy these things off the shelf to destroy data.  They have custom utilities and equipment to accomplish it.

there is a post on the atlanta board as well as the san diego board about getting busted in Cobb County.

LE advertises on EROS and EXOTICS as well as Yahoo and other forums and has reviews here on TER.

It just emphasizes my more recent rethinking of not ever discussing who I've ever dated with anyone.

I'm not currently dating, don't believe I will again, but I feel for the safety of the Sisterhood.

I think discretion should be a two way street.

You never know what kind of pressures,  jealousy, addictions, personaltie flaws, mental illness, etc. could turn a former friend into an informant.

As was discussed above, an arrest, a computer in the hands of LE and EVERY transmission is then in the wrong hands.

All a reference is, basically is gossip.  That a guy behaved a certain way with one lady SHOULD say that he will behave that way with another but will not gaurantee such.

We would HOPE that LE would not go through "the deed" with one provider and then arrest the next one, but who is really to say?  There are certain counties where LE is known to be extremely filthy

Verification is you best friend.  At least three points, maybe four or five.   Know who you are with.

Gentleman, find a lady that screens to your preferences and go with her.  There are dozens of screening points that are non-invasive.

Be safe.   Bond in other arenas than who you've seen.
