Have any of you providers received an email from them? Asking about some kind of survey ??? can any one shed some light on whether they are legitimate or is it phishing?

If it is a legitimate study you should be given the name (and maybe) contact info of a supervising professor. From there you can look up the professor and see if the study is in their field. If it is a grad student, the prof may not have the exact same interests, but the disciplin should line up (sociology, anthropology, psychology). They should give you the parameters of the study, an idea of what is involved, and what the typical participant profile is. Also, there should be reference to either a review by a Human Subjects Committee or its oversite department usually called the Inststutional Review Board.

the record of the UCLA men's basketball team (10 national championships under Wooden)?  I only know one; the UCONN women's basketball team (11 national championships under Auriemma).

See the Olympics this month?  The USA women's basketball team was dominant and clearly illustrated that "playing like a girl" means playing skillfully, employing teamwork like a well-oiled machine, and crushing the opposition.  As a long-time basketball aficionado, have never been more impressed.

this century - that's 5 outta 16.  I live 10 miles from both of these schools.  My daughter went to Chapel Hill - I paid the entire $bill and she couldn't get me a ticket to a game lol.  Impossible to get a ticket to Duke game

City College of New York won the 1950 NCAA DI Tournament and also won the 1950 NIT (National Invitation Tournament).  No other team had done it before, none has done it since and none ever will: not UNLV, not UCLA, not Duke, not any team in NC.  

Appropriately to TER, the CCNY team mascot is The Beaver.
