what, if any, mainstream hobbies do you have in addition to The Hobby?

do they conflict?

do they complement each other?

for example, photographers among us could peruse provider pics with an especially discerning eye.

would-be writers could close-read the text of provider websites.

and so on...

Coin collecting.  They definitely conflict!  If I didn't "hobby", my portfolio would defintitely be greater...but it's good enough.  Now's the time to be adding to those investments, considering the state of the economy...

If I'm not in front of the camera, I want to work behind it. Pin-up photography!

But between appointments, I can be found knitting happy.

I am a classically trained flutist. I've avoided auditions b/c I fear the worst...someone knowing me from this profession. I've also met folks in this profession who are also in my non-companionship world.  Its VERY awkward for me so I just practice when I can and eventually I will exit this lifestyle.

On a very positive note, this profession gave me a wonderful opportunity to travel, thus increasing my time to explore photography, historical sites and places I've always been curious of.  You can see some of my photos on my website (see the link).

Blessings come in all kind of disguises.  This hobby opened up great opportunities for me and so I am thankful.

XOXO,
Ella

the skin flute or a real flute? lol i couldn't help it ella it came from my loins i guess, you sexy girl you
uc

No, I never did *that* at band camp either.  Why on earth a girl would want to stick a $5000 flute up her kitty is far beyond me!

I must confess.  Having mastered the art of REAL flute playing seems to benefit me in this profession though!  I have excellent tonguing skills, can go longer w/o coming up for air and know how to utilize different combinations of pressure from my lips to increase the enjoyment of the *experience*.   hehehehehehe

Computer gaming - play a game for a bit then visit TER. So kind of complimenting.

Golf - both pretty expensive and not very easy to have a provider date on the golf course (people frown on that sort of thing happening on the green). So definitely conflicting.

yeah, plus the inevitable juvenile and sophomoric puns and double entendre attempst : teeing off, cup, club, hole-in-one, etc...

I have seen so many nude bodies because of one of my hobbies that it is extremely easy for me to tell when a photo of a provider has been photo-shopped.

I also know how to use photoshop.

I get quite a chuckle out of some of these pictures that end up with a figure that is actually physically impossible! LOL

I have seen some ladies with great websites, very polished and professional, whose pictures could not possibly be accurate. The way they have been touched up render certain impossibilities with regard to bone structure, muscle, etc.

Some ladies have a head of themselves cut and pasted onto a different body. The problem is they never make the head exactly the right size for the body.

Some have the sides of their waists or arms or thighs cut away so as to make them look thin, yet they did not take into account for the natural curve of the hip bone and the lines of the muscle and fat.

There are also things I can see in the inconsistencies in the colors, lighting and subsequent shadows.

Since I enjoy reading and writing I also get a good chuckle when reading some of the text on many of the sites.

I rend to just keep all of these things to myself though as it really doesn't concern me, though if anyone ever wanted my opinion on any photos I would be happy to help.

Kim.. I hear you.. I am a professional photographer, and while I do NOT trade my services for the services of a provider, I have captured images of a number of them.

I too know photoshop, but prefer to capture my subject in the camera, and then only touch up and crop the images.

Somewhere on YouTube, there is a clip of a very Large BBW, being photoshopped into a lovely bikini clad beach bunny.. Amazing what can be done.

Unlike balathazar, I have found that golf and the hobby are complementary. Both are excellent reasons to travel across the country. There is a curious similarity to researching the various golf courses near a given city, and researching the various providers near that same city. Both searches create a great sense of anticipation in the days leading up to a trip.

A couple of my other hobbies, reading and wine, are also complementary in the sense that I always find something new when visiting book stores and wine shops in different cities.

There are so many things that I dabble in!  But a few that I truly enjoy are golf, wine, writing, jewelry making and painting.

I find that I can drink wine while I'm enjoying my other activities, so that never conflicts.  As long as I pace myself...;oP  Often I find they complement each other quite nicely.  Wine also fits in well with providing, as many of the gents I see enjoy relaxing with some good vino (and me, of course).  lol

The jewelry making I find very soothing and rewarding.  It can be a time-consuming project, but as I get better at it, I am more pleased with my work and now have a few pieces to wear or give as gifts and even possibly sell.  Who knows?  Maybe someday I'll open a boutique when it's all said and done.

I've been playing golf for about 10 years and I shoot a fair round, but I won't be signing up for the tour anytime soon.  But a golfing provider?  Hmmmmmm...she may have something there!  Maybe I'll try working that in.

Writing is something that I feel that I've always been pretty good at.  Things tend to be more enjoyable if you're good at it.  So I write.  No books, nothing published.  But I've got all KINDS of stuff in the works.  I mainly write for me.  It's therapeutic.  I keep a journal and write poetry and such.  It's something that's simple, and it's convenient and doesn't cost anything, but can pay you back very well.  And I've been doing it for so long that it just feels natural.  Like breathing.

Cheers,
Stella

Well, I have an aquarium hobby, as in tropical fish, but, I also run marathons, and do duathlons and triathlons.  I am not sure if any are complimentary.  I have only had good compliments on my physical fitness from providers though.
