Try using by troches instead of pills.  You take them subligually, they dissolve under the tongue.  They start working faster (30-60min).  I take 40mg tadalafil troches and they also last for 36hrs.  The only side effect I notice is a runny nose.  I get them right from my doc, a men's health specialist, who I see weekly for testosterone shots(also highly recommended).

I've been taking it sublingualy for years.  First I cut a 100mg V into rough quarters. Then I take a quarter and crush it in my teeth. I don't swallow but keep the remnants in my mouth and under my tongue until it is all dissolved.  I've had it effective in 10 minutes.  

Some studies prove this out -- it becomes effective twice as fast and the dosage can be cut in half as well.
