The last time I had to cancel at the last minute I paid the provider her cancellation fee, and she said that I was the first guy that ever did that. I found it strange because I knew that she could have booked with someone else if I had cancelled more than 24 hours before the date. And she was hot and I didn't want to miss out on seeing her again.  

My very last date (a provider who I've seen a few times)  sent me a cancellation email a couple hours before our scheduled two hour date, claiming family issues forced her to cancel. I get that shit comes up in life, but what I don't get is why my reply was met with "crickets"! It was a nice, understanding reply ..."hope everything is ok, we can meet when everything is better, blah, blah, blah." Her reply was ...

Nadda, nothing... I would have expected to hear back within a few days. Anything. It's not like I wanted a cancellation discount. Hell, I had a different provider cancel on me 3 times in a row, but I still saw her because she apologized and was sincere about it. However, sometimes there just seems to be a double standard when it comes to P4P. Maybe I just think that way because I pay the cancellation fee, but respect is a two way street. It doesn't cost anything to apologize, but it can cost you big time if you don't apologize when you should.  

 I'm sad to say it, but I think this last provider is on my DNS list.

At least she didn't wait till the last minute to cancel. A lot of young hookers have no class, no respect for their clients and no real communication skills.

Unless you're a regular (different than you've seen her a few times), she's focused on the next payday and figures if you want to pay for her pussy, you'll overlook the slight. Just imagine how many inquiries she gets in a day or a week that go unanswered.

Personally, if she was worth multiple visits already, this wouldn't be a deal breaker. I might wait a week then try to reschedule as though nothing happened.

On another note...cancellation fees more than 24-hours in advance is outrageous. I laughed when I read that she admitted no one else has ever paid it. She shoulda offered you a discount off the next date just for being her first

agencies.  For me, this kind of stuff only happens when I am seeing indies.  With an agency, if you get a same-day cancellation call, they will suggest two or three other available girls that you can see instead.  Take ten minutes, check the photos and reviews, and tell them which one you want.  Stress gone!

If you are late they can cancel the appointment or charge a late fee, but if they are late or cancel nothing happens... Sucks as I hate this rule at the doctors office, but it's life.

If this were a NCNS situation I would be less inclined to agree with you, but she did take the time to actually cancel and did give what at least "sounds" like a legitimate excuse, unless I saw her posting "available now" ads on P 411 or otherwise surfacing without getting back to me, I too would be inclined to let her work out whatever issues she is dealing with before writing her off.

....that if it really was a serious family issue then waiting only a few days to contact her again was too short a time for her to get back on a regular routine. I'd wait a week (preferably two) and then contact her again. If at that point she still doesn't reply, then she's DNS list material.

Unfortunately, some things that seem "universal," common courtesy, or common sense, simply do not register with everyone.  
   
Even the simplest of things; thank you, you're welcome, returned phone calls, email messages.  Not everyone made it to the Wharton School of Business, paid attention when their parents tried to teach good manners, or figured out these basic things on their own.
