Guys

Someone I would like to see raised her rates. Is this a trend or something else. Becuse of the ecomomy I thought rates would be going down.

Not a trend as far I can tell. On the contrary, I see stability or a slight drop. I'd guess she has a good set of regulars and/or wants to reduce volume.

There are many things that factor in when we raise our rates. Or lower them in the form of 'specials'. It also very much is geographical. I will sometimes run 'specials' when there are a lot of touring ladies in my area. Men love new ladies, as well as their regulars. Another factor is the rising cost of gas for the ladies that do outcalls. Especialy the ones that only do outcall. That can really add up. Hotel rates rise and fall. Etc etc. It's not a 'trend', it's a business just like any other business. Supply and demand etc.

I hear this a lot.  I'm sorry, but this is pure poppycock.  If you get 20mpg, then the difference between $2 and $3 gas is a nickle a mile.  Gas just hasn't gone up that much to be a factor.

Dear XXMeowbabyXX:
Considering that the price of doing business is going up, what would be the percentage of your rate increases for where you are? Also how much would you raise prices before you would see a diminishing return on revenue which would directly effect your profit margin? Also what is the most the market can bear in your geographical area before you become the Alex Rodriguez of providers? I was wondering are those just a few of the questions that you might ask yourself before making statements that could effect your bottom line?

I am seeing some providers with TER profiles have ads on sites such as backpage.com and craigslist.com. Some are offering discounts to TER Vip members if you book in advance.

If there is a provider that I really want to see I will pay the price. If I think the price was too high to begin with I won't see her again unless she offers a discount. Why pay $300-$400/hour for the same provider again. The only providers that I see multiple times are the ones that charge $200/hour. They are smart because they get more money out of me in the long run. One got $2800 from me, 2 others got $1600.

Sex is like gasoline.  We need it, but if we can't pay for it, we have to park our cars in the garage and walk.  And the oil companies don't care because there are plenty of other people who  are able to pay for it, regardless of the price.

Sex is something that we probably need more than gasoline. And someone can't pay for it, he just has to leave his dick in his pants.  Every provider knows that there are plenty of guys out there with hard-ons and wallets full of cash.  And many of them will part with their cash regardless of the price  for a slice of the damp before a slice of pizza or a slice of the American dream because...

pussy IS the American dream.

I should use that as my platform when I run for president.

Great site, Quinn...I like your boho attitude!

My guess is that you would win about 99% of the hetero male vote in this country...as long as the guys could vote anonymously, away from their wives.

I've been lusting since I came across her website last week...

it's soon, MrSelfDestruct. I sure would like to meet the man whose posts I enjoy reading so much. (And when you make it this way, please be sure Ms. Quinn is with you!) :D

I call my ATF cupcake, because I'm always torn between slowing licking off the frosting vs. just saying to hell with it, and goppling her all up.

You do look simply "delictable." Not certain if that's a misspelling or some sort of Freudian slip.

To be sure there are ladies available in many price ranges but even with a slow economy I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for gals to start dropping their rates.

Nothing on the cost side of being an escort has gone down in price. If anything a lady holding steady at say, $300 an hour is putting less in her pocket today than she was a year or two ago. I have seen a few ladies advertising specials or even lowering their rates but I don't see a trend in either direction. In my area the average rate has been about the same for several years now.

The sex industry should not be viewed in the same way as other sales industries.  It's easy for some customers to look at it as an hour of sex but the best ladies out there place more value on themselves, their time and their self-esteem than that. Most would rather see a customer or two less than get involved in the bargaining game.

Every business has a certain profit margin. When economic times slow a business's volume it has (basically) two choices: 1 reduce the margin to retain or increase volume or 2 accept lower profits from reduced sales.

Its really not a matter of whether or not a providers costs have decreased, its whether or not she is doing enough business at her current price point to meet her financial expectations.

If the economy does get tough, and IMO its not really tough for most of us so far, providers will see their business continue to slow down. Some will drop rates some will not.

We have already seen softness (a pun I suppose) in certain segments of the hobby, whether it becomes more general remains to be seen.

The hobby is based exclusively on disposable income. The notion that its immune to normal economic forces is simply not realistic.

My $.02 and worth less than you paid for it

Thanks

For the the infor from everyone. I have been on the site for 7 months and just thought I would ask.

Because what her rate is I can see two ladies for that. When I go to this town. All of your answer are very true. Because we all are paying more for things our self for sure.

Not sure across the board as I do not monitor things like this but have noticed a trend in the lower end market where availability at certain price points in increasing. Also, seeing some who have been reviewed and well respected in the upper mid market beginning to offer specials.  I do have a client in the business (ain't that the kick) who has told me that there is an increase in providers entering the market and hence their is more competition for the limited market and she and her friends in the industry are starting to see more free time. A couple of her friends are looking for other work to supplement their income until they get costs under control or business picks up. It may be that there is a lag time that varies depending on the geographic area. Before anyone asks, no I do not use her services and would not.
