I totally understand the provider's need for privacy, but it stinks when they don't accept calls from pay phones.  I also understand the 2 call system, but if you don't have a cell, you're SOL.

These days a cell phone is almost as vital a tool for a monger as a condom. No excuses not to have one, prepaid cell phones are available at low prices. Provider's need to protect themselves too, and the 2 call system is one way of insulating themselves from potentially dangerous liasons, chances are you are being watched during call number 2.

You can't call someone back on a pay phone. It's hard if a client doesn't have a cell.

I will not see a client who doesn't have a cell. If a provider has to cancel, how will you know about it?

Not having a cell phone in the hobby is a hindrance. Here in, NY, you can get a pre-paid phone for as low as $9.95.

Like bakdorman said, there is no excuse not to have one. Makes our job a lot easier.

I agree with you Lamaya along with others who know how easy it is to have a cell phone or better yet a pre paid cell phone .
Makes no sense to me why   anyone wants to call from a pay phone .

I've spoken 4 gentlemen that didn't have cell phones.

I never met up with any of them. For all I know, he could be LE setting me up.

When a client has a cell phone, I can give then directions to my location or cancel if I must.

Without a cell phone, I'd have to wait around... not knowing whether or not he;s coming.

Get a cell phone they are cheap and you'll get more providers answering your callls.

Don't hold it against providers for trying to keep safe, that's incredibly selfish.

I don't hold it against them.  I said I understand the need.

But simply getting a cheap cell phone seems like a much better option...

No offense, but if you can't afford a cell phone, then most ladies aren't going to want you as a client.

This is kinda like an exclusive club or restaurant.  They charge a little extra at the door, with the intention of trying to get upscale clientel.

They also want the cell phone number for their protection.

If there still are payphones, get ready for the day.

Lack of a cellphone these days could really turn a session into a fiasco.  You'll find that out when you get a NCNS for a session, but find in the email that she canceled five minutes after you left.

I haven't used a payphone in nearly 2 years. Having been a avid cell phone user for 2 years, I have no need of a payphone...or a home phone.

If you have money to see a provider then you can afford a prepaid cell phone. I have my regular cell and then a prepaid for my hobby.

These days you can pick up a pre-paid anonymous cell phone that has texting and voice mail for about $40.

If you wish to be a consternate technophobe you can be so; but complaining will not change things.

About ten years ago in New York City, I was told to go to a certain corner and call. I got there, called from my cell phone, and got the most confulsed response - I was standing by the pay phone that she assumed everyone would use, but I didn't think to use it. She almost didn't let me in, but consented when she told me to raise my hand.

Things change.
