providers in Charlotte NC ?
I read and heard recently that this was happening last week .
I am from Charlotte and find it interesting that the news is doing this   as I hear they were "downtown" doing this to what they call  "high class" providers ..
Anyone with any links or more information please share it ..
Thx
Layla

they come on as your "pal" and convince you that getting your side out is important for your cause, but what they care about is using sex to make a sale with the viewers, nothing more.

In the meantime, the upright citizens brigade will bitch to the mayor about whores taking over the town and he'll tell the chief of police to go round up the usual suspects to placate them.

Not good for business.

Very true Mr Fisher . I was recently contacted by a talk show and I declined . I do know other ladies who have taken went on talk shows .
I personally do not like the idea of the media in my business . I know how they operate and they are always looking for a  "good story"   at any cost ..

I would just like to know which providers in Charlotte who are talking to the media .

As by their talking like that   it puts heat on others in the industry . Not good .

you should find out soon enough...just watch the news and the ensuing LE activity that will inevitably result.

Just stay quiet!

I, too, have been contacted to go on a talk show.  Let's see, if I won't put my face up on my website; why would I go on a national talkshow?

Discretion is the key to this business.

It's funny how the media notices the hobby 4 months out of they year.  As much as I think sex workers have to ultimately make the public aware of the business, wrongfulness of the hobby is not yet being questioned by the public. It's better to avoid the conventional media.

Generally, those of who talk to the media about the hobby start with the best intentions only  find that the "interview" is contrived solely to confirm the prejudices the public already has, and that the host or hostess really think nothing of them.

Your status being less than zero with them, they feel that they can lie and slime every which way to get you on the air and bolster their ratings. They see you as a number-- a mark.

It's not debate, it's enticement and drama for the public, while still affirming the social morality. The moral tale is the only way many people can feel good about interest in sex.

Great observation! Thank you! But I would add they only take a serious look at this when a politican or religious figure is involved - only then does it come under scrunity! BTW - woould the news consider you a hobbyist - or something els? What would that be? Interested in finding out!

There are September sweeps? I thought it was November, February and May. . .

That's how it worked since the 1950s.  Competition was hard and advertisers wanted to know pretty quick who the new winners are, and which old shows were losing to them.

So, yes, there are September sweeps. Maybe I'm behind the times and September has waned in value since then.

The advice here is good! WHY DO IT? If you have ever seen interviews - it is like the reviewer is your friend but then works to destroy you and make a name who they are! Dr. Phil does it - so why would you fall into their trap! If you do - I would bring a few politicans along the way (Just Kidding!) - but when you get into this kind of discussion - the only loser is you (us)! Sorry - that appears to be the American Way!

It doesn't matter WHAT the subject is, the news media many more times than not makes things worse for the people involved. And VERY often publishes incorrect or misleading information.

You CANNOT correct anything that has already been published.

You will not change anybody's mind on 99% of the subjects.

Most topics are way to complicated and involve way to many details for any media to fully cover or discuss.

Whew...rant off...time to go look at pretty pictures!!
