I just got an iPhone and wanted to see if it works on TER. Guess what? It does! Now my phone is even more hobby friendly

I luuuurrvvee my iPhone. Aren't they great? Have you figured out the pinching thing to zoom in and out? And when you take a call, but then have to enter in numbers on the keypad, it senses when you pull the phone away from your ear so the screen comes up. Sweet, huh?

Congrats! :D

I can't think of a few places on your anatomy that I would love to "zoom" in on... 'nuff said.

you have to do this certain little motion with your fingers. C'mere. I'll show you ;)

I am right now wondering why I find myself in Chicago in more than 30 inches of snow and -11 and dropping as I write this... so, me and you and a couple of glasses of sweet tea, sitting under a Magnolia and you teaching how to do this thing with my fingers... well, we'll call it priceless right about now... don't ya know... : )

The iPhone is the only personal device of any kind that I am constantly "congratulated" for having.  I would like to take the opportunity to thank God first.

Secondly, I am willing to let ladies touch, and maybe use my iPhone, in trade for charitable acts in lieu of donation.

LOL

Yeah, you get bonus points in my book, HD. I already have an iPhone, though. You got something else I can touch, or maybe even use instead?

But it sucks as a phone -

I've heard another user say that it's a great device, but a shitty phone.  I was remembering back to when phones were used to talk to people, just as mine buzzed to report an incoming email.

I have a rockin' phone and a BAD ASS laptop, which due to school is almost permanently attached to my hip. I still take notes with a pen (one class won't allow laptops) but damned if I don't love my laptop so much more.

If I had an iphone, I would never be off the damn thing, so I guess it's a good thing I don't. It's not supported by my network yet (sigh) but the day it is, my current cute as hell and rockin' phone will have a tragic accident requiring me to upgrade. hehe.

In what way does it "sucks as a phone?" So I know whether to go out and buy one.

I had Cingular, but when they became AT&T the phone service took a nose dive.

I switched to Verizon and have had excellent service since, plus it costs a lot less.

Ditto. I had AT&T with my stepson's phone blocked from the internet. Then they changed to Cingular, and when I had to renew my contract I told them to block his phone in the same manner. They assured me it would be. Then one month, when I was out of the country and didn't open up my bill, there was a small increase due to him getting on the internet. The next bill was for over $3,000 dollars. They claim it's my fault for not catching it. Of course in the midst of this they have changed back to AT&T, and refuse to verify the blocks I had on his phone. I still haven't paid it, and I've switched to Verizon.

the front door of my house....  electric shavers mystify me...  all this talk about blue rays... and high definition...   to say nothing of VIOP???   my kid walks around with things stuck in his ears... makes me think he is a Borg...

and communication is becoming irrelevent.

I went to the Verizon store and told them that I want a cell phone to make phone calls with.  I was not interested in a camera, internet access, texting or being able to watch TV, movies or even play video games.

The sales clerk  (Who was barely old enough to shave.) regarded me as one would an escapee from a looney bin, then reached down and grabbed an ancient relic from some discard bin and gave it to me free with his compliments.

It's not too bad, but I have to wait a few minutes for the tubes to warm up before using it.

I have what the sales person called sprint's version of the Iphone. Its called the touch by htc and I love it. I can get online anytime anywhere and even use it as a modem to get my pc online anytime anywhere.

I access ter and lots of other sites with it when I am out. I get my email every 30 mins and its awesome.

My only issue is that if anything goes wrong with the touch screen on one of these phones your screwed because at least with the ones that also have a key pad you can still access everything and with a touch phone you can't.

personally i hated mine . It broke, not i broke it, it failed to work, after only 3 monthes
