How much time do you have?! Seriously. I've got a few of my own, but have heard some real doozies from other ladies, as well. And I just LOVE to dish and hear about the dumb, ridiculous, and outrageous experiences from both perspectives. It always helps to be able to laugh, IMO!
Really foolish to me, are the celebrities/public-figures who do this. I've only met one (no, I will not ever tell who it is) but it was through an agency and he gave his real name to the agency!! Even had his manager help vouch for him. I never would have known except that the phone-girl at that agency was actually a fan and wanted to know if it was really him... so I looked up a pic and it was.
Once, I had someone who claimed to be a famous athlete but he wouldn't tell me who he was for discretion, although he did give me his manager's name and contact info, telling me that this person would be expecting my call. He (the famous athlete) was willing to meet me in a public place (his hotel's bar) for my own peace of mind before heading up to his room for our date. I advised him that giving out such verifiable info (his manager's credentials checked out) and meeting publicly was not exactly discreet. Based solely on the details he gave me, and about 5 minutes of internet sleuthing, I was able to deduce who he likely was. Definitely NOT thinking with the big head.
Again, I'm well aware that providers do dumb things too....even me. LOL.
