I shouldn't, but I do prefer professional shots. It is perfectly acceptable to photoshop out a pimple or other small imperfection that will go away, and a certain amount of touch-up is somewhat expected.
Very few amateurs can take a decent picture, so most of the polaroid type shots get a pass from me.
As to pose, I like that one a lot! Nudity, both front and behind shots, are great but not mandatory. If there are only lingerie shots on a website I'm good with that as well.
For me, the crass/distasteful line is crossed with "gape" shots.

I don't think its a good idea to post ads with pictures like this even if your a pornstar and everyone has already seen your "sugar".
1. It implies sex...which we all know is...etc etc
2. Like previously stated...most guys will end up handling the load before they even pick up the phone!
3.Photos like this draw unwanted attention. Hangups & harassing calls. LOOOSERS!

First of all, that is a great pic! It is not distasteful at all. I like a combination of photos on a website, some nude some with sexy lingerie. I would prefer a simple polaroid rather than a photo shopped studio shot, if I had to choose between the two. But, I'm not against professional studio photos as long as they are not "touched up". I'd like as accurate a photo as possible, not ones that are touched up at all.

A beautifully framed and composed picture, as yours is, is always a work of art.
Sometimes photos that show a minimum of flesh can be extremely sexy by using the suggestion of sex rather than showing a lot of anatomy.
I enjoy both.
....both are fine. However, more skin is better as sometimes you get the distinct impression that something is being hidden. You just don't know what to expect or even worse one could be unpleasantly surpised when the clothes come off.
You pic is very sexy and honest as you are sharing the truth for all to see.
I'm not cetain if your's is a polaroid, but I think it's very tastefully done, and very hot. I tend to enjoy a woman's natural nude body versus lingerie, because I'm quite particular about the lingerie I find attractive on a woman. I tend to prefer professional grade photos, but weigh a woman's reviews more heavely than her pictures. The pictures are just meant to get my attenion, and an aesthetically pleasing picture will get my attention first vs. the hardcore explicit shots.
Whether clothed, partly clothed, lingerie, or naked, if it is tasteful and sensual- Great!
All you have to do to see the wrong way to do it is click on a few Craigs List ads-- arrrgggggggggh! You wish you hadn't clicked most of them!
That one picture tells me everything I need to know regarding your looks. Enough of your face is shown to tell me the rest will be a treat and your body is fucking FANTASTIC! Of course if I were an ass man (and I am sort of) then one more photo would be needed.
Now as to your question... I have a vivid enough imagination that I can view explicit photos and my imagination will just kick in from there. 
I would say it even helps my imagination and makes me want to bring those fantasies to life.

Personally, I prefer a mixture of pics on a lady's web site--some with casual attire like jeans or shorts, some with a nice dress, and of course some in sexy lingerie. All angles should be shown. It is amazing what can be hidden if all the photos are taken from the same angle.
Some look best in a little number or even a nice outfit...
Then there are pictures like yours... the only problem with a shot like that... is I might not make it to see you because I have already taken care of myself so many times that I am tired out!
So guage it by how hot you think it is... or ask a few clients what they thought and why they chose you... (was it the picture or not?)
As far as Crass or not? its the shot that determines that, not the woman...
I realize that doesn't tell you much, but in different galleries, one doesn't exclude the other. If it's truly a choice between one or the other, I would say full frontal is better
Photoshop should be kept to a minimum. The full frontal shots should not just be sexy, but also tell the guy exactly how you look. Lingerie shots and such should inspire the imagination for a session.
I like non photoshpped full nude shots. in good light. non professional. various poses. I like it more explicit. for me I want to see the goods and that makes me rush to call. So no classy photos for me. show me your stuff!

...I actually have several reasons, really. Call me old fashioned, but the old saying about buying a cow, rings very true to me. I have had girlfriends that (in a desparate position) changed their pictures to a more "open" look, in order to better sell themselves (or so they thought) and they lost business, Im guessing, because clients found it a bit abrasive. Now, of course, it does vary person to person, as far as personal tastes, and picture outcome. I mean some photos are absolutely crass and unforgiving, yet some are very artsy, and though you are baring it all, are so delicately done, that surely no one could think any less of you for it. I however, refuse, on the grounds that I like to cover up to leave some sort of mystery to the idea... I mean its not as though there is a question of whether or not you can see it in person, should you so choose, so why spoil it all, beforehand?
Also, I like to keep it rated R, so that I may be free to choose from whichever many webhost providers I desire. Keeps things simple, and in the long run, saves you a fair amount of capitol, since they cannot charge you up the ass (pun intended) for being an actual adult site, and therefore having to deal with adult hosts only.
Also, I think lingire can make a picture, and even the woman, for that matter. Just as regular clothes can empower you with certain feelings, and strengths, when you look delicious in them, so can a good camisole. I subscribe the idea that your what you wear is as important as the person you are, because it can make you feel wonderfully sexy to be in a delicately draped baby doll, or a long, luxurious flowing robe, or a set of fishnets and a garter... just the same you would feel frumpy in a tee shirt, or some pajama pants, or a long cotton gown! I mean, I know there are a great many women, and I am one of them, that are very comfortable in their own skin, which is sexy in itself. But, to me, a good outfit yeilds a much better picture, because of how it can make a woman look at herself!

And while there can be "artful nude" shots, I myself prefer those pics that give you a "teaser" shot. A bit of as hint as to the goodies underneath.

Personally, I've taken to not showing anything full-on. I want them to come see me, not whack-off to my picture. If I WERE going to show all-out nudies, I'd make a pay site. My pictures are to gain business, not act as a porno mag.

One of the hottest shots I've seem lately was on CL... binini bottom hands covering & lifting the breasts slightly... very hot.
Over all I want to see everything not covered by a bikini, in a series of 2-3 shots from different angles so I know it's a real person and not a stolen photo. Use the same bikini suit or background setting or what ever.
A single hot photo (non-face) run over & over stinks of dead bait. (I know, I fell for one a couple of weeks ago.)
