I've been hobbying here with TER for two years now. Today I experienced a first. A lady planning to tour my city in early July has graciously penciled me in her schedule but now she is asking for FULL payment 2 weeks prior to her arrival here. After returning to her website and searching each page for this policy I found it on her "Faqs" page. With further investigation of her website I find she says that she does only multi-hour appointments yet her "Rates" page clearly states "a one hour appointment is $$$&1/2". ALso I find her reviews state her fee to be $$$$$/hour.
In the past two years I have never delt with this kind of policy when a lady is planning to "tour" a given city. This particular lady's reviews are many and stellar in nature. I don't think she would risk her good reputation but I still don't feel comfortable with this type of policy especially with all the other inconsistancies found and only a E-mail address and a bank to send the money to go by.
Am I alone here?
Especially if you don't know her, and the rate schedule is confusing (sounds like it is), try someone else.
I won't even consider an "up front" payment of any amount. As far as I am concerned, her deciding to tour is a business decision on her part and she assumes the risk that goes along with that decision. Besides, what are you going to do if the provider flakes or bails after you have rendered your payment - chase her across country to get things squared up or simply shrug your shoulders and take the loss? Guys who agree to do this are asking for trouble in my opinion.

I have made deposits to VERY reputable ladies that were very well known and had a stellar reputation. A request for advance payment in full is unreasonable and smells like a rip off.

There are ladies who supposedly tried to project a good reputation, but they are scam artist with fake reviews.
Yes, Reviews can be fake and they'll get your money.

The are some established provider that really there is no risk in pay in full ( I've done it and it really worked out fine, there was never any discussion of money the whole date and that was nice) and then there are others... You may not like her policy and that is your choice not to see her because of it, but if it's just a matter of trust, let us know who she is and I'm sure someone here has seen her and could give you a heads up.
I once sent a 50% deposit to a well-known lady with pages of good reviews, who is frequent poster on the LA board. On my way to her in-call she called it off. Said she would return the $$$$ but never did. I believe she is unstable, and I of course gave her personal info for screening, so I can never "out" her. So there ya go...hobby on but hobby smart.
It sounds like she is already planning on touring to your city and wants to make sure she don't have any no-shows. I don't care who she is I wouldn't do it.
I thank you gentlemen for your feedback. It is very apparent why I had not seen this payment policy earlier in my hobbying. I for one hope it ends with this particular provider because it precluded me from seeing an otherwise stunning woman.
