This is one of my pet peeves, and is right up there with 'only available to discerning gentlemen'.

The worst one I ever heard was 'I cater to the elite upper echelons of society'.

I've never bargained/negotiated with a provider, always been a gentleman, and always observed impeccable hygiene. Yet for some that is not enough. The language suggests you need to be an person of note to meet her. Or that she seeks those who admire her as a statue, to look but never touch.

This is standard marketing.  How may times a week do you get "exclusive offer" mailers -- you and 100 million other lucky bastards.

It means nothing.  It is an appeal to your ego -- you are invited into the "exclusive club."

And frankly if you are of the opinion that such terminology excludes you, you probably are kind of a loser.  :-)

Just look at the rates.  If it is $1500/hr, yeah she's targeting rich guys (and thinks she has extra value.)  If she is charging $350 your economic background doesn't really matter to her

Maybe it's his use of the word "prostitute" people who don't blink an eye at the terms hooker, slut or whore seem to go into convulsions every time he uses the word. Go figure. Even a bind troll stumbles onto a successful strategy every once in a while.

The question was posed in two completely different ways.  One demeaning and insulting.  The other, posed as a simple question.  There is a difference, other than the handle.

marketing strategy is to seek out customers that you can make more than one sale to.  Its easier to re-sell existing customers than to always be looking for new customers.  I think many providers are just looking for guys with deep enough pockets to be able to repeat regularly, and this is how they choose to describe them.  I have seen many reviews/posts over the years where a hobbyist will say something like "I will save my money up so that I can see her again next month."  Most providers are not looking for these low-volume guys, so they target guys with a little more disposable hobby money.  I don't mean to demean low-volume hobbyists.  There is a place for everyone here, and that is why many hobbyists choose asian girls - low cost, good consistent service - so they get more for their money, and you rarely see statements like this in their ads suggesting anyone's business, whatever their level, is not wanted.  All are welcomed.

But I really do enjoy hiring escorts that seek out "upscale gentlemen" as that tells me that they're BBFS friendly.

I know about the risks, but there's nothing like having a young escort who enjoys BBFS.

Your status as an upscale gentleman means that you have been pre-approved to loan us money when our bills are due. And rest assured, we would never demean your generosity by actually paying you back.

There are a bunch of scumbags out there.  I was having a conversation with a provider, and the stories she told me about how some clients are complete assholes.  Like excessive roughness, bitting nipples, clits, smacking their ass too hard, and the ever so popular finger in the ass without asking permission.  I think "Upscale" means different things to different providers, some you can look at their pricing and see who they "expect" to contact them about a session.  For others it means no "thugs" or childish behavior.  To each his/her own.

About a year ago I read a provider's ad and website that I was interested in seeing.  This is no lie.  One of her screening requirements was (not in these exact words but...) "possess an above average sized unit". That will always stick  in my head as being shallow.  Needless to say I never did go see her!  Lol

Very true! I've had the same conversation with a couple providers, to the point I'm afraid for them sometimes.

However, if there's any blanket statement that can be made here, it's that none of the assholes are gonna look at a lady's site and say "oh I can't book her, she doesn't want to see assholes like me". I honestly think they would get fewer assholes if they said assholes only apply please.

But that's just like, my opinion. Which of course is just like an actual asshole: everyone has one and they stink!

Simple enough to take care of. Grab him by the balls hard enough and he'll find his upper register, I don't care if he talks like Johnny Cash.

Yes, it is hard to imagine anyone naive enough to think that such a statement will act as a prophylactic against meeting requests by ungentlemanly callers.  That's why I think it is marketing to the ego of customers who think they are being invited into an exclusive club.  As someone once said, the purpose of clubs is to keep people out.

In like '61-'62 Deyoung and the Panozzo twins formed the core group that would eventually become Styx when they were like 14 years old. Shaw showed up in like '76. Deyoung was there for everything as lead vocals and other things including a lot of the producing through two breakups and reunions until '99. He wrote more Styx songs than anyone including the posted come sail away.

He had huge creative differences with Shaw and Young which led to more than one breakup, in which in all honesty I'd side against him. Is that what you're talking about? He's not been involved in what they've had going on in recent years, so to say he IS not Styx is true I guess. Surely he was (a part of) Styx? I wasn't sure if you were saying he was never a factor. I say this in all seriousness, what am I missing?

Others rotated in-between his time with the band, but he still faithfully reunited over a period of time. Dipping in and out. In and out.

He's been more a Styx member than I have been sucking sticks if measured side by side in consecutive years.

Now, was I around when Styx was founded? No. I wasn't even a sperm in a nut sack. But it's written that he was a founding member, but very involved over a period of 20 years.
