I don't know if this has been discussed... I've noticed at the gym lately that a lot of guys shave their legs..  these are not bodybuiders but seem to me young to middle age guys... I'm I out of step with the modern world?? I do shave my privates as do most hobbyists...Providers.. what do you think??  is it cool for men  to shave their legs???

That's hilarious, actually... I know a few bodybuilders (champions at that) and even they don't shave. Here I thought the men in Los Angeles were the poodles. lol.

I think as long as you're either shaved/ neat and trim down there with no dental floss going on, you'll be fine. I don't think any girl on here expects you to go THAT far and shave your legs. In fact, I'd probably be shocked and appalled. lol.

Awww Katie, no shock and awe here. Women vary in their love and hate of male body hair as much as men vary in their preference for boob size (yep, that's right, not all of us prefer huge boobs, lol). I've had women tell me that they think body hair is really sexy and I've also had them tell me the polar opposite. So what's a hairy guy to do? We try to please as many women as possible so we go middle of the road.

I said I don't like boobs? Hmm, what I meant was that super-huge boobs aren't a turn on for me, not that I don't like boobs Katie, lol. I've seen your boobs, they're well within my acceptable range, LMAO.

You can't please everyone so you've got to please yourself. I don't know who you leg and pube shavers are seeing but in over twenty years of hobbying I've never had a single solitary lady comment about the hair anywhere on my body...or even bring up the topic in general conversation...

Call me old fashioned but I just show up freshly showered and shaved (my face only) with the donation and a good sense of humor ready to have fun...Seems to work fine.

when a donation is at stake. But I bet they have comments on the provider board, lol. There's always a bunch of posts from providers here about being trimmed in the nether regions.

I know that some women are turned off by hairy guys. They may not say it directly, but they're thinking it, and I bet it affects their performance.

But trust me, unless you have some sort of out-of- control Yetti hair growth the lady isn't even thinking about it. As for effecting performance? Again, hygiene, a fat envelope full of cash and a good attitude are all you will ever need.

When did you start reading the provider only board?

I think it's an LA thing BG. I'm not into it either, I've given in to trimming because of all the posts on it, and the ladies getting all grossed out by hair, etc. I hate having clippers down there, its scary. I do it because I love BBBJ though..soooooo..gotta do what you gotta do.

Don't forget there's crests and valleys to deal with down there for us, so it's fertile ground for nicks. Not fun.

I won't generally say anything about the untrimmed hairs, but it is always a PLEASANT surprise to find one has trimmed/shaved.

I've met some fellows who take their bicycling seriously and shave their legs, something about the wind and speed and comfort.

I've never met any one else who does...

Don't forget those world class swimmers. They're totally hairless from "top to toes" if they chose not to wear swimming cap.

...I'm pretty sure bleeding hemorrhoids count as menstruation.  Wish I was kidding on this one.

And KL, It ;s pronounced eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww!

I really don't have a preference or thought about guys who shave their legs.  I think cyclists, bodybuilders and swimmers are the only one off hand that I know shave.

As long as the gentleman is showered, tamed down there and polite I could care less about the atate of their legs!

If I started shaving my legs I'm sure my wife would notice and want to know if I'm seeing some guy on the side.

Are cyclists who are at a rather high level of competition, or Tri-Athletes, also at rather high level of competition, Or perhaps bodybuilders. Anyone else may be a bit strange, to me, anyway.  But, Whatever floats your boat.

I'm a swimmer, competitive type.  Leg shaving, as well as shaving all other visible body hair is very common among swimmers, especially at the top levels of competition.  I, myself, have done it many times as a swimmer before a big meet, in order to take advantage of whatever edge I can get. Female swimmers will forego shaving for weeks, or even months, in order to get the same sensation after shaving right before competition that the guys get.

If you are not a competitive swimmer, the concept may be hard to understand, but trust me, all the best swimmers do it, both men and women.  The feeling of diving into a pool all shaved down is like no other.  Hard to explain if you have not experienced it.

As a hobbyist, I do shave my boys, and keep the forest trimmed, but do not shave the legs.  It is common among cyclists to shave the legs, but you would have to ask one of them why.

I have a few clients who are body builders and on is a pro wrestler and they shave their bodies. When I have seen them they were nubby all over. Not too fun, but I respect their choices. Personally if I were seeing someone I would make sure I was NOT nubby. Being soft is kinda up there with fresh breath.
