I believe it does go back to certain memories -- maybe even when we were very young.

It doesn't even have to be a particular look.  I know I get turned on to some women just by certain movements.

That's a very reasonable question.And the answer would be yes.

Simply put - I generally view men the same way straight men view them. We all can appreciate and acknowledge a good looking guy, but thinking someone is attractive is one thing...attraction in a sexual way is something else entirely. And I assume that FatsoVern was alluding to the sexual attraction aspect.

My mum loved Charleton Heston and Greogory Peck and Clint Eastwood movies so that's what we watched when I was growing up. As an adult woman I'm physically attracted to tall, quietly confident, strong looking men who don't talk much - my theory is that's what I was exposed to most as a kid??

I just think it's fascinating how another human being can provide me so much pleasure, from their physical appareance, to the way they touch me, caress me, kiss me, etc etc.  

It's something very primal and the further you dissect the why, the more questions arise. I noticed how over time I have developed a taste for certain things I didn't find sexy before. But I can't understand why I couldn't find them attractive before and now I do. I'm just glad I am aware of it and I am always open to try new things.

I'm fascinated when I see a woman's nose that's narrow, somewhat small, and with slight upturn at the tip. So scoot over on the shrink's couch and make room for me.

Even just speaking physically I know I see women who I know are beautiful, but for some reason I'm not attracted to them. I like to think of them as 'technically beautiful', I can see each part of the woman is attractive but something in the whole just leaves me cold.

The women I'm truly attracted to will also be beautiful but I have to feel there's some spark in them, something different, and while I never know exactly what that is I sure as hell know it when I see it. It's like what they say,

I find tall women very attractive, but I have also been attracted to short women. I have had a crush on very heavy women and slim women really turn me on.  I love women of color and blondes and red heads and pale brunettes and those with tans.  I am very turned on by dominant women who "force" me to please them and I love submissive women who allow me to "force" them to wall shaking climaxes.
