From the study linked below:

"We have measured autonomic and brain activity during orgasms that women have produced by thought alone. During the thought orgasms, the magnitude of the increases in heart rate, blood pressure, pain threshold, pupil diameter, and brain regions are similar to those that we observe during vaginal or cervical self-stimulation-induced orgasms (Whipple et al., 1992). It is not surprising that in those cases of thought-induced orgasms, the specific genital sensory thalamic and cortical, and specific limb-motoric regions, are not activated."

Begs the question*; if men could just sit around and think up a great orgasm would providers see less business?

*please, it's a rhetorical question, clearly no.

If I could "Think up great orgasms", I would also wish for the ability to think up a great lady to share them with me.

OK, all that sounds fine - but how the hell did they measure pupil dilation??? When I am "in the zone" (close to orgasm) I can't keep my eyes open. At that point, I am 100% focused on the awesome feeling of savoring the impending orgasm, and that is all I can focus on. Eyes closed, and if you say anything to me, I am not even going to hear it.

So how the heck can they measure pupil dilation just prior to, or during orgasm?? Am I an oddball because my eyes are closed through it all?

How could anybody reach orgasm with a penile plethysmograph attached to either partner?  More things that make one go "Hmmmm."

personally, I would have NO DIFFICULTY acheiving lift-off....even knowing those little dweeb researchers were watching and wacking off to it! LOL!

got a government grant for this study?????
