As with any business, of course providers must market themselves to attract clients.  Confident no hobbyist respects/appreciates providers more than myself.

Yet have visited a provider website or two and once in a rare while, notice hyperbole, sometimes becomes flat out exaggeration, or put more bluntly, lying.

I noticed a provider posting comments on here in less than correct English.  Who am I to criticize, when I am far from perfect?  But I do sit with raised eyebrows when this provider states the following on her website (name omitted to protect her privacy):

"intelligent lady, with an education from the finest schools on the continents of both Europe and North America."  ...."culturally diverse, you will also see I am well versed in every facet of American culture and etiquette."

How can she try to convey one image of herself on her website, when her posts here, clearly illustrate the exact opposite?  Fire away, maybe I am being petty, but I see no need to try and deceive a potential client, we are what we are.

Respectfully "Rip,"

When you use your "real" persona, you know EXACTLY what good English looks like.

Only when you choose to entertain, is your English "suspect."

But your "entertainment" value and a provider's attempt to over promise and under deliver are not the same.

Provider's sell an image.  Don't hobbyists expect that image to be accurate when they pay for it?

Or is deception in the market place fair?

yes, whatever image providers portrays should be what you get...i do not understand the need to embellish, fib or straight up lie to attract clientele...i understand and accept that i am not everyone's cup of tea and will not portray myself as such...if you like me, you like me and if you do not, you do not, so find someone that does fit what you need/want

category all your own; honest to a "T," sexy, attractive and worth your weight in gold, many times over!  I know firsthand!

Las Vegas hobbyists and those who visit are fortunate if they get a chance to make an appointment with you!

I believe honesty is always the best policy! Too many Drama Queens around these days or like someone said "handler"! I don't have a handler cause no one can handle me! :P HAHAHAHA

I have seen what you speak of as well.

Also, I'm assuming you are referring to a clear as day example, rather than a subtle grammatical error etc.

My guess is, if a gal can pick appearing to be well versed, educated and sophisticated over an absolute train wreck, most likely she is smarter enough to pick the former. Unfortunately, she may not smart enough to realize that most clients are detailed, will do a little research and will see through the false advertising:-P.

It's all an illusion. Just how much the provider strays from TRUE hopefully will be revealed in reviews. I like when a girl has an open Twitter account or something similar, so there's a glimpse of her real self, including selfies, videos, and attempts at being witty with a little less filter than ads or websites.

Maybe she attended the finest cosmetology school!

If you're concerned about etiquette, you can always quiz her on table settings or how to greet a businessman in Japan. Otherwise, I don't think there is proper etiquette for standing doggie.

“Thank you for visiting my site. As you can see I am a frumpish, pre-menopausal middle-aged gal, whose lack of ambition is matched by a lack of exercise. As a graduate of the eleventh grade, I enjoy matching my wits against the puzzle on Wheel of Fortune. In my leisure time, I enjoy playing Pick-Four, Megaball and various scratch-off games. I also love creating new and exciting recipes with my five pound block of government issued cheese. I adore the company of gentlemen with low self-esteem who are easily intimidated and grateful that any woman would give them the time of day. I anxiously await your call.”

Maybe not that much truth.  Maybe not the opposite extreme either.  Maybe a little in the middle?
