Mattress Question

I know this is going to be a wierd question but I know this will be the best place to get a good answer....

Has anybody ever had sex on one of the Temperpedic mattresses?  Everybody raves about how good they are to sleep on but there seems to be too much sink factor for other activites.  Any opinions will be apreciated.

I have an expensive custom made thin japanese futon on tatami mats on my hardwood floors. (Sleep Exquisite, West Los Angeles, CA) I fluff it everyday, and it smells fresh, from the woven grass mats, and the cotton padding. I like things to be very clean. I enjoy being on the floor, its primal, and I use my toes on the bricks of my wall for traction. I have never had a complaint, even older gentlemen find great. I have allergies, and a normal bed collects too much dust, and takes up too much room. I had a bad bicycle accident when I used to race bicycles from a car nearly killing me, so I had to lie on a hard, flat surface while my muscles healed. I just got addicted to how much better I felt from sleeping on a hard surface that I haven't switched back since. When I stay in nice hotels I have to take sleeping pills or else I toss and turn and feel like a mashed potatoe in the morning.

had very much 'sink factor'.

I've laid on the tempurpedic beds in the malls and didn't notice much sink factor then either.
I imagine it would be fine.

I can tell you I DON'T like having sex on a waterbed though..

If the waterbed is not filled with enough water, you lose the "springboard" effect when doing missionary and other positions...meaning the rhythm is way off.

I'm old enough to have dated a lot of women that had them back in the 70's, and I never found one that was worth a damn.

You've absolutely right about the problem of not being able to get any traction/leverage in the mish position and the rhythm is way off too.  You start fighting the wave motion after a few seconds.  And despite what its proponents say, there is no way to "go with the flow."

It's an idea that looked good on paper... and even then, only if you were half-baked.

Hey now, everybody has their likes/dislikes.  You can get more expensive waterbed matressess that don't have the wave action or sloshing.  Fully baffled mattresses that are properly filled provide this.  You can hit my waterbed off a trampoline, and will only get one gentle wave that will roll to the side and stop.

Now the old "full motion" beds were another story.  I tried sleeping on one of those once and thought I would be sick.

I agreed with y'all until one sensational time where we found the rhythm of the wave and went with it.  The wine and appetizer were probably a factor.

Now, I don't mind when it doesn't go so smoothly.  It's a good way to work down to the floor which I prefer anyway.

Because I never had any problems with mine. But I did keep it full enough to keep it firm

I'm travelling at present and can barely sleep without my temperpedic back home. I have slept so well since I got one AND it was prescribed my doctor no less.

I'm partial to the select comfort,  changing the firmness comes in very handy for me.

I was thinking of buying a Tempurpedic Mattress, but then I layed on one in a store and had a hard time rolling over to one side. An older gentleman (who was average in stature) told me he had to return his because he sank so much in it that he couldn't get out of bed in the morning. Go figure!
