Screening: any suggestions as to procedure?

Clients real name, real home address, real home landline phone number.  Is it really important to have his main work number and direct dial extension at work?
Anything else to be included in this screening procedure?
Any suggestions from you will be followed!

If the client is Married he will use someone else. There have been to many cases where providers have contacted a clients wife at home. If you scan these sites you will see what I am talking about.

My suggestion is a reference from a well known provider. Also for extra security a member of a verification service does gets the info that you asked for above (they do it once). You call the verification service and they say yes/no. The two that come to mind are rs2000 and date check.

If the client does not have either of these a work number should be fine, with a number that is not his direct phone line. Now you have to be careful and do some research on the company to make sure that it is not a setup. Once again some guys won't give out work numbers.

Upon entry of first visit demand to see some id, license and a work id. These steps desribed about are verification.

Screening is a completely different topic. You should get some feedback from providers on what screening really is.

Tell her to backchannel with a legit provider name... why does "she" hide behind an alias??  Hmmmm, shouldn't be any shame in asking a question... maybe delete your post until you know who exactly is asking..

If she used her real provider name, it could be a tipoff to LE that she is an easy target who is inexperienced in the biz.

You think LE needs to post such questions here?

Every time someone here suggests a post might be LE just cracks me up.  You all seem to think that LE has no knowledge of this business and the experience of a 10 year old.

I guess with all the talk about busts lately.. it can make one get overly suspicious!

I called a provider to my house and she asked me to greet her in the nude. I hope this trend will catch up since it might be the little step LE does not want to cross and it does put all parties in ease. What do you think?

Just because they are low-life, corrupt, lying cowards, self rightious bullies and pathological sadists looking for the easiest path to a high arrest record and a comfy' retirement pension doesn't mean they are necessarily a highly inteligent bunch.
Untill our hobby and our boards are free from the putrid stench of LE we must always be vigilant to their sleazy covert tactics both simplistic as well as sophisticated.

Since the majority of TER members have not been busted for this
activity (93% by the survey stats) I feel there is a false sense of safety among many TER members.

Those of us who have know that LE takes the time and care to ferret out what information they can prior to taking any action.  They want the most results for the least effort.

Waterclone, laugh all you want but until you have spent the night in the pokey for this activity and had to explain to friends, loved ones, employers and the like, dont let your guard down.

Like anything else, LE crackdown on the hobby goes in cycles.  If you were in LA in the late 80s, you were like a man on a desert island.  Same for DC in the 90s.  Right now, the left coast is on a puritanical kick--look what they're doing to strip clubs (maybe Ashcroft is pissed he hasn't caught more terrorists).  My advice for now is the same as always:  Keep your wits about you, approach each new situation with skepticism, and listen to your instincts--that little voice telling you it's a trap may be the only honest voice you hear.  Given that most providers seek to keep their screening process secret, I find the initial inquiry deeply suspect.

You have just the type of attitude that will cause you major problems.

Bottom line - If they want you they will get you one way or another.  There is no sure way of protecting yourself and if there were there would be no need for worry or this thread.

I am not saying don't be careful.  I am simply saying that, while LE may be here, they are not the ones asking the dumb questions on the boards.  :-)

LE already knows these tricks. Also there are some LE folks who hobby on a regular basis. I don't know how they got verified/screened. This might explain why some areas are better to hobby in than other areas. If you scan this board you will see how LE has even been busted using escorts. The females in this business are so fine that it is very hard for men of all occupations to resist the urge to splurge.
