Noticed this product while waiting in line to pick up some meds. Never really thought about it but isn't this something you wouldn't want to use more than once? Must be a packaging issue. Kind of like diposable enemas. Who goes out and buys a gallon of enema or douche? A curios mind wants to know.

Any kind of douche sounds weird to me.  We've never sold them/used them down here. What on earth are they for?  Am fascinated why women use them.  Does anyone know if they are sold in any country but the US?  I don't recall seeing them in Europe or Asia.

they are popular here and ladies use them to keep the coochie clean.

Thanks for the heads up.  Thankfully, we have showers here.

Seriously, douching destroys the helpful vaginal bacteria that keep the Ph low (ie slightly acidic).  I would think that women who douche on a regular basis would be prone to recurrent yeast overgrowth.

Though I guess you'd have to applaud any company that manufactured both douches and fungal treatments.  It's a masterful piece of vertical integration.

a disposable douche is supposed be be used one time only. They do make more durable ones that can last a long time. I would say that most ladies use this type.

Hope this helps,

Kelly~

How frightening to think that one day the only thing left on the earth may be cockroaches, condoms and douche bags.  What will future visitors from outerspace think?   These people may have destroyed the planet, but damm, they had one hell of a time doing it!

All this means is that it is single use. Some women have a douche bag or what they used to call a "hot water" bottle or bag. With this you can add whatever ingredients you wish (usually vinegar and water), without buying the disposable kind. I think some people use the hot water bags for enemas as well. I could be wrong.

I come from metropolitan New York where anyone who gives you grief is considered a "Douche-bag"

Makes sense in our "disposable" American mind set they would do away with the need to save the fugg'n "bag"

I have seen plastic douche thingies that look like enema bags but they can be used over and over to make your own douches. Speaking of that, I don't use them. Washing properly and being almost clean shaven works for me. I stopped douching years ago.

Can cause a yeast infection. I am not a fan of the douche. I am a big fan of bicarb enemas though. Makes DATY intoxicating.

I have many theories about vaganal pH.

It is something I have delved into very carefully.

I applaud your bringing it up.

I would be happy to share my findings, just let me know an appropriate time.

a douche bag can either be a horrible insult or a term of endearment in the NY/NJ area. Providers that are seeing many guys a day should probably use a douche bag for cleanliness.

A drunk walks into a bar and orders a drink. While he waits for the bartender to mix his cocktail, he notices a woman alone at the end of the bar. When his drink comes, he says, "Hey b-b-b-artender. Give that douche bag at the end of the bar a drink for me."
The bartender tells the drunk to keep his voice down, but the drunk is belligerent. "Give that douche bag at a drink, dammit!" he shouts.

The bartender becomes angry. "Sir, I will not permit you to sit here and call the lady names."

The drunk persists. "For the last time, bartender, bring me my drink and give that douche bag down there a drink, too!"

Attempting to quell the growing disturbance, the bartender approaches the woman and apologizes for the behavior of the drunk. "The gentleman insists upon buying you a drink, ma'am. What can I get for you?"

The woman replies, "Oh,... I'll have a vinegar and water, please!"

She can wash herself properly. Douches are not good for women in any way.

used in their lifetime, probably never using the 'old-fashioned' kind (like hot water bottles, or enema bags) from years ago.

It's a single use, like the enemas and throw away. Not a good idea to use on a regular basis, but most ladies will use them after their periods if the period odor or residue lingers.

Some hunters and fishermen carry them. The vinegar helps break down
skunk spray and it comes in a handy disposable package.
