Fake Reviews............

One thing I've noticed with some of the reviews are some reviews for providers that seem to against the grain for the rest of the reviews for a provider.  Or there are only two reviews and they are both 9's across the board.

You read the descriptions and they all seem to have the same cliches:

1.  The "bad" reviews were all by one guy who has it in for her
2.  "She's a great provider so treat her right guys!" (This phrase constantly comes up and seems out of character for the tone of the rest of the reviews"
3.  "She's open to all languages and looks really hot! (sounds like the reviewer is overly trying to "sell")
4.  Generally not a lot of detail in the review, but the same she's "real nice to talk to", looks really hot, and my favorite....  "she looks MUCH better than her pictures!"

An other red flags for you guys?  I've found it is also easy to spot them by the fact that you click on the reviewers name and one agency's girls are listed or there is only one or two reviews.  (OK, I'm also a newbie as well with only one review, but I just noticed that a lot of these suspect reviews seem to be by people who just signed up)

I had to laugh be cause I am guilty of using some of those cliche phases.(after reading so many reviews the must stick in my head when writing) While I agree with you , there are a few other things to keep in mind. A reveiw is one persons personal experience, but back to your point, I've noticed a few reviews that were almost identical, like the guy cut and pasted a reveiw and slightly edited it. Also some are just too short, some guys are either lazy or not creative writers.
If I suspect a lame review I check out the reviewers other reviews. If he has more than 2 and they are not posted on the same day but with different dates i take it at face value. I've noticed guys posting 2 reviews for the first time on the same day and dating them for this month and last month, and they read almost identical. Then you also have guys like me who like everyone and hasn't had a bad experience (knock on wood).
I love women & sex, What I find cute and ammusing another guy might find annoying. Follow your gut feeling. the reviews are not the end all of decision making but a guide in helping to makeit.

Remember, most people do not write particularly well. Therefore, it is easy to emulate the "style" and "cliches" used in other reviews. I suspect that most men are not willing to sit down and really spend the time Writing.  While I can appreciate the frustration reading reviews that all read alike, I'm not sure it an indication of anything more sinister than an unwillingness to spend the time to really write something.  On average, I've spent less than an hour writing and editing my four reviews. On one of those reviews, I actually spent about 6 hours (stuck in airports with my laptop)...and that was for the lady I actually cared for the least, but whose business I wanted to help. (Yes, the review is absolutely accurate).

One last thing: some of the ladies are fickel about being reviewed. A very well known PS whom I have seen a number of times asked that I NOT post a review of her. She doesn't want her agent knowing that she is escorting...much less Direct.

Still, I sympathize with the frustration of the original post.

I agree with Jim.  I've read some reviews that make me say, "there is no way in hell a guy wrote that!".  But, everyone is different.  Some guys look different, other guys speak differently.

I agree that there are A LOT of fake reviews, but I don't think there is any way to consistently pick them out.  I've spoke with girls that act very manly, and guys that make you wonder if they are fruity.

Just trust your instincts, and even if you are wrong, you won't be asking yourself why you just got ripped off by someone you knew was a scam artist.

i am not sure this constitutes a fake review, but one really hot provider has "see my reviews" on her website and she has 3 excellent reviews by one-time reviewers and a bad review by a regular user of the boards.

Over the years that I've used TER (almost exclusively!) to research my hobbying activities.  I have found those same quirks as you, and over the time I've used TER have learned to trust some reviewers more than others, and have been successful (or lucky!) in not having any real bad experiences.

I believe that over time, you'll have the same luck.  Just look for consistency in reviews of providers, and on the part of reviewers, those that don't overly write about the "Juicy Details" and proclaim their prowess, but rather talk about the joy of the session with reference to the acronyms and more "gentlemanly" descriptions of those juicy details.  I find that type of review tends to be more reliable, and gives me a better impression of what my date might be like.

Happy Hunting!

Thanks for the advice all.... I wasn't intent on ridiculing people's writing ability, only weeding out ripoff artists who are trying to ensnare unwitting clients into paying for their shoddy service.

I'm trying to stick to evaluating providers with pages of glowing references, but sometimes a look of a provider may hook you in, and get you to ignore common sense and play without a net anyway.

Anyone else think they know any other telltale clues for spotting fake reviews?

I have not read alot of reviews, but I can tell you mine are all real.
Although sometimes I wonder myself and I was there!
What exactly is a fake review???
