I would like to hear from everyone on this but particularly the ladies. What type of advertisments work for you? It is sites like EROS or CITYVIBE or other escorts sites? Is it sites like TER where you can link your site? I am going now full time into this and was interested in finding some great places and the right ways to advertise.
Now anyone who sees my profile and is interested is direted to CITYVIBE and not MY website.
I've emailed support numerous times. Emailed CV just as many. Got an email that said my profile was updated... nope! And round and round we go.
DO NOT have ads at both sites or this will happen to you (their agreement) even if you cancel CV (as I did in January) your proile will continue to link elsewhere...

i don't think i'm supposed to list other escort malls. will say TER sends as much traffic/business as that escort mall that starts with e and ends with an s.
and search engines send as much traffic as anywhere else. this is probably the most overlooked source of free traffic/business esp in places outside of big cities like new york where it's easy enough to get ranked in google or yahoo for free. all it takes is putting certain keywords on your page and in your meta tags a couple times.
link exchanges with indies that have a similiar look as you, but maybe live in a different town are also a good idea.

As a consumer, TER is where I start, and view the lady's web site to get more information. As such, it doesn't matter where the website is. I have scanned various escort sites, and it is more confusing than helpful. Roomservice2000 is the one exception. Seems like there is a decent correlation between RS2K and well reviewed ladies on TER. I have not scanned TER's escort ads.
I believe positive reviews on TER is valuable, but as someone else mentioned, the initial link is hard to change. I would suggest getting your own cheap webpage somewhere that you own, have one of your regulars review you on TER with that link, and then branch out to the escort advertisers. That way you can change advertisers at will, and not loose the TER link.

NOT SO FAST!
I originally and for a good amount of time (over a year?) had my site up and linked to TER. Mysteriously one day that changed and my profile now links to CityVibe... this change to my profile happened MONTHS after I'd cancelled the CityVibe ad.
Apparently TER has this "agreement" with many of the directory malls. I don't know which though I'd be leery of using any of them unless you are resigned and agreeable to having your TER profile link somewhere other than YOUR OWN SITE.

Get a web-tracking tool--if you have a good server provider sometimes they offer this free--and see what is the last previous site visitors are coming from before they hit your site. That way, you can track where your real traffic is coming from and determine what's the best ad venues.
You can also ask clients where they saw you from to help you understand what's the most effective advertising. The prices are not too high for advertising where you can't experiment a little bit. It also makes a difference on some sites if you are verified or not.
I believe it differs by geography too. EROS is more of an east coast venue, for example.
