I alway send a recent picture of myself whether it is asked for or not. I figure it puts us on common ground. I know what she looks lkke she ought to know what I look like. Also, like you just pointed out, it allows you to, at least temporarily, store my photo so you know that if I am crazy or at least there will be repercussions. It's no big deal.
