Do you guys like candles while making love? I love lighting candles but they tend to make the room too hot. Or maybe it's just me idk. I like vanilla scent or lavender.

There are two things I like to see a provider use to set a nice GFE tone and atmosphere: candlelight and good background music (for me, it's soft, sensual, and rhythmic, but not too interruptive, like light jazz, smooth r&b, or even new age type stuff).  It is really surprising how far that can go to make the experience a good one for me.  

I think candlelight sets the mood perfectly.  Maybe it's a Pavlovian response to all the time I've spent at strip clubs over the years, but I like the romantic effect of dim lighting.  Not so dim I have trouble seeing my way around, but dim enough so that I don't feel like I'm at a bar when they flip the brights on at closing time.    

You have to be careful if you use scented candles - you don't want the scent too strong or something that the client doesn't like.  Vanilla and lavender are fairly safe for most guys, but tastes vary.  One option is to ask at the beginning of the session.

Even tho' you can't see candle smoke the way you can see cigarette smoke, the odors get into your clothes and hair the exact same way and that's a big NO for me.  I've used up a lot of excuses trying to explain strange odors from my strip club days and I just want to avoid any unnecessary complications these days.  

Most places I've visited (hotels or private incall) all have a way to dim the lights or set low lighting levels.  It's not BRIGHT or OFF so that candles are needed to see in the OFF-ness.  

Even tho' I don't want it, there have been claims that certain combinations of odors enhance male arousal. Pumpkin Pie + Lavendar is supposed to be more effective that either scent or other scents alone.  This is probably another bullshit study on a small number of people under non-controlled conditions, but there you go

Dripping hot wax on someone, that's one kink that doesn't excite me.

Hotels are strict these days about any kind of smoke, so I love the smoke free ones!

Some people like me have allergies like me and it can end a session real quick. (For instance, I am allergic to lavender.) I like unsented candls. Flames ad a certain feel I like. Just keep them away from the play area. I get a bit paranoid about knocking down if it's next to the bed.

I burnt my private fairly putting it out of commission for a while.

Along with flameless LED pillars, for that romantic glow. Back in the day, I used to use tea lights and only spilled hot wax twice. A post on the Vegas board last year gave me idea for massage candles so now, I have one warm vanilla & the other, a sultry dark chocolate.  

So they scent the room and feel soooo good on the skin. Mixed with my massage oil, it's an awesome combo for a body slide ala Nuru. Using a FC2 also makes sexy time more spontaneous... you can really enjoy the heat of the moment, since he can slide right in.

Never noticed if it had an affect on room temperature, and I always defer to the ladies' wishes about scents...

I own these too and the remote is handy for us really lazy people.

It would be a dirty trick, but a little bacon aroma could get him so hungry that he wants to get outta there ASAP to hit the nearest diner.  

You can also try sausage scented candles and SPAM scented candles.

I hate it (especially with someone new)when she opens the door and it's dark in there with only candles.  My first assumption is she's overweight or older than she said and needs to hide the truth behind dim light.  I always ask her to put on some lights, not just for that reason, but because I love so see a naked (or semi-nude) woman's body nice and clearly, to enjoy the visual as well as tactile joys of playing with her.

Whatever the escort wants is fine with me.

One of my regulars like to put colorful scarves over the lamps and create a dim atmosphere.  One of my first thoughts was that she doesn't warrant too close of an inspection, which turns out ton totally untrue, as she's a doll.  Then the obvious hits me, she doesn't want to look at me too closely!
 

Anything that adds to the romantic mood, candles, soft music, I do enjoy it. I think it adds to the whole GFE.

I'm not a fan of candles, soft music, or anything cliche romantic.  It just reminds me of the civvie world and its dramas that I seek to avoid.  Reason being that my civvie relationship experiences were generally not very good.  So I've been requesting providers not to do music, candles, etc.  I explained by saying that "I like a fun, casual atmosphere".  You know, similar to spontaneous hook-ups or booty calls, not "romantic experiences" I felt obligated to create for my past civvie girlfriends in order to get FS.  After all, you almost never see candles and such in those situations, just a mutual desire to make each other feel good.  (Granted, they generally happen at night, while most appointments are during the day, but still.)  Providers found this odd at times, and even asked me why (which I explained), but accommodated me.

I like the soft lighting & I like it better if I can catch the silouette of her breasts englarging while we warm up.  Any scents should be mild...   and YES, well away from the bed.  The dresser is good.  

And be sure to put a non-combustable item under jar candles.  When they burn down the jar gets hot & can damage & even burn surfaces.  A pretty saucer is nice.

Visited a provider once years ago, had the donation in an envelope that was folded in half in my back pocket.  Got to the hotel, she had candles all over the room and I placed the donation down on the night stand and the envelope slowly unfolded itself  and caught on fire.......  One of the "hottest" experiences I have ever had in the industry!!
