just curious here. I prefer lights on to the extent that I can see, but glaring klieg lights would be a problem for me.

I like the lights dimmed, but love to see a woman's body and of course always enjoy the visual of dining.  

Especially on bright sunny days and you walk into a hookers incall and its like you walked into an unlit mine shaft.

When it is pitch dark, you are just going by touch, smell, sounds, movement, I think it can sometimes make it more sensual, almost like your other senses gain a little more by losing the sight.     In the light, I want to see but I don't want to feel like I am in the ER either.

All of my encounters have had some degree of light. I think as long as you stay away from the extremes...of either bright light or no light, it's all good.

Candles, definitely candles.

There's nothing sexier than the look on my partner's face when they're really enjoying themselves, so I'm not a fan of oppressively dark rooms.  But that all goes right out the window if the lighting is so bright that I feel like I'm in my gynecologist's office lol. So for me, a soft side-table lamp or even the ambient light from an open bathroom door is usually enough. The only exception is when there's gorgeous natural light streaming in from an open window. Everyone looks better in the sun

Then you must really hate finding out the lamps are often just props with either no bulbs or dead ones.

Sez the lady who made fun on battery operated candles ... Automatic mood lighting. I'm buying one of those "clap on" "clap off" devices for next time LOL

So I prefer dim lighting.  Hence the reason I bring my own.

I like the hotels that put dimmers on the lights so they can be adjusted to fit the mood.  But at night I do like it when I'm on a high floor with a clear sight line into the city of over the water to leave those windows wide open and soak it all in.

Different sizes and some say the shape is phallic

soft lights or plenty of sexy candles is always a go

and be looking right into the lamp on the nightstand next to the bed. Some providers put a colored scarf over the lamps in the room to make a "red light room".

I paid a lot of money because I liked the way some lady looked. I damn well better be able to see what I paid for!
I don't like dark restaurants where I can't see my food either.

I think a nice soft light, whether it's natural or by lamp is definitely a must.  

to having a lights out session with a woman I've played with enough to know the feel of her lips, every curve and crevice of her body as well as she know mine AND JUST LET OUR SENSES RUN WILD.
