Been seeing a lot of this lately and I have to wonder what is the reason?

A provider I saw earlier in the year (and very much enjoyed) has a completely new name now. Website and everything else is the same but the name is completely different.

A search on a provider I am seeing on Friday yields two different names on TER, though obviously the same lady. She has excellent reviews (a lot 10/10's) so I can see no reason for the different identities.

Received an email in my inbox from a provider with a totally unrecognizable name asking when I would like to schedule and for how long. I can only assume she was somebody else on a website with a totally different name that I previously contacted.

What gives

...others may have been outed and need to protect their identity better. It's also possible that a newbie chose a name similar to someone who's been around longer and maybe decided to change it to eliminate conflict.

One of the... strangest--want to say funniest--that I happen to know about was a lady with such a totally extreme nom d'etage that everyone knew no parent had ever christened her that. Of course, all her clients wanted to know what her real name was, so she picked something simple to tell them.

I doubt if there is anything malicious about it, although it might have to do with hiding identity from LE, stalkers, or maybe an ex-something. Or maybe a woman just came up with something she liked better.

Interesting puzzle to contemplate, but pointless unless you have time to kill. Next time I arrive a half hour early for an incall, and I'm waiting in my car for the minutes to creep by, I'll chew it over.

You do seem to attract lots of drama.

Phone number, website, etc to get away from a stalker. She asked me not to write a review after her name change, because he's clearly dangerous.

Very weird email he sent me about her. I forwarded it and deleted it.

Crazy how all it takes is one psycho to disrupt  a lady's life like that.

Like someone posted some choose to change their name after going independent from an agency, so as to not look like they are stealing clientele from the agency. (Also agency could have selected their name which they didn't like)

Deciding to choose a less common name which is better for search functions. (Instead of Ashley, Lacey, Lexi etc)

Maybe domain name they wanted to purchase already taken - need a new brand name with domain name available.

Stalkers/bad clients/LE issues.

Bad reviews - bait and switch

Different clientele at different rates - 2 working identities

If they had good reviews it must have been an important reason, and I'm sure it hurts business when they do a name change as everyone questions it.

A companion I know changed her name after experiencing a great deal of mourning in her life.  Her new persona helped her through the healing process.  Just a symbolic name change;  the mention of her former name triggered memories and emotions that were difficult to deal with as they reminded her of her loved ones who passed away when she was "Former Name."

I also know of some who started out as "average/slightly above average priced" escorts, then retired those names to become HDHs/more exclusive who want/need nothing to do with review sites.  By not registering or posting on TER and other sites, their new personas cannot be combined with the old

I know a lady who has changed her identity, and venue many times over the years. She is a high end lady, but her markets got saturated. Her schtick wasn't interesting anymore. I used to see her run more and more specials, which could only mean one thing. She finally went underground, but has recently resurface in a different city, with a new name. Personally, I like her old name. It had mystique. Her new name is really dorky. Not Sexy Lexi, but like that.

Now you've got to figure out what to do. I prefer to see one name
Escorts, however, sometimes the little head takes over. If you do the proper research you should be able to figure out the motivation for the name change.  I do use one rule when it comes to name change, two  changes are acceptable, three I usually pass

I mean, its not like its their real name or anything!  Just a moniker for business.  If business is slow, rebrand

Do you really think "inicky46" is my only handle?  It is here, but what about other sites?  And then there's also my alias.  I come in many forms.
PS: I am mrfisher's evil twin.

Too many sticky and non sticky variables surround the need or want for a name change. Maybe she didn't like being a Sexy Sue and wants to be a Promiscuous Pam... Either support her or leave her alone. The ones to worry about are the ones that change their name and don't link or identify with the previous name and are doing bad business.  Red flags with frequent name changes and service changes could mean trouble. Move on.

and I don't hate your new name either.

I did kind of like your old alias though. I think I like it better than your new one, but this one is beginning to grow on me:)

My old clients used to tell me they hated my name, so I eventually changed it.  Now the old clients who still remember me from my old name tell me they hate the new name as well.  The new clients seem to be OK with it.

A provider's stalker got your email address, so either she gave it to him or you did...either way, given your many posts about protecting the fairer sex from bad (or even just rude) men, it's not unreasonable to conclude that you were in some manner trying to "save" her. Admirable, but I'd watch my ass if I were you; bullets don't give a shit how much you can bench.

But you wouldn't know anything about that!  ;)

I used to have one who would open his laptop and tell me, "This picture stinks.  Take it off your portfolio.  This one would be better if you were wearing XYZ," etc. etc.  Oh well.

He was so invasive and conniving that I never wanted him to creepily look at any of my online stuff again.  Just thinking about him made me cringe. So I get one reason why other ladies might want to change their names
