With the way the economy is and will be for awhile as it seems. Why continue to choose a provider paying 300 or more ?
I have used the more expensive providers and I have used the alternatives. There are differences,but is that enough to continue to pay more ? If you had a choice of the two and both were available at the same time. Would you choose the higher end due to perception ?

because they look good , have better reviews and tend to have nicer incalls ...also taste great less smelly. and their also pictures are less touched up . also less chance rod corrupted them with cheap gifts. and no chance the spoty saw them so that's a big plus .

some people fly "fist-class". Many other fly  in cattle corral like conditions.

Paying $300 for a Provider doesn't always ensure you'll get your Money's Worth. Are there Providers worth paying $300? Absolutely. For me the Provider I'm seeing charges alot less than $300 and her Session is probably as good as a Provider that charges $300. Besides paying $300 for a Provider these days is out of my price range.

Every now and then there's a hot ass chick I always wanted see.  

Do I often see girls at higher end?   Sometimes but it's not an every day thing. I like 300-400 range.
Am I nuts for seeing them?  Probably, but I don't care cuz I know exactly what I am getting in terms of appearance.  
Am I getting ripped off? Most definitely
Am I gonna feel satisfied with her performance?  I don't know cuz she has no TER reviews
Do I find her hot?  Absolutely Positively Definitely.  
Will I have fulfilled another dream girl fantasy after seeing this girl?  Absolutely!  
What does she offer that other providers don't?  Name recognition, No photo shop mangling, 100% accuracy in appearance.

If you prefer save your money use your right hand. I prefer PS providers and as you can see no PS is cheap. Impossible to drive ferrari in the same price as ford

While there are no guarantees, sometimes you just want higher class.  I've found the lower you pay, the dirtier, the unsafer, the more mechanical the service becomes.  Granted, it varies from girl to girl and one or two providers who charge $150 - $200 for an hour can be a sweetheart while the majority at that range just are not what you want.  Cheaper usually means higher volume and thus usually a less GFE experience.  Even with reviews, it takes a long time to find a good low cost provider, shopping and sampling the merchandise.  Higher end gals tend to be pretty damn good or else they wouldn't get away with charging what they charge because few people would pay it.  It's faster and easier to get what you want simply by paying a little more.

I mean, would you pay $400 for a 45 year old MILF with an appendectomy scar and a smokers gravel to her voice who is starting to sag a little in a fleabag motel?  Me either, yet that same provider might be a wonderful person, who knows how to treat a man right, who needs to make some cash and have fun doing so.  If she provides a modicum of talent, personality, and isn't too hard on the eyes beyond what's already been said, that same girl will make a killing at a $200 price point.  Now, finding this gem in the rough is gonna take you time and you may not like what you find along the way.

I'm interested to know why you said "used" instead of seen or visited. In certain cities $300 would not be considered high end

$1k/hr., etc. because that's out of my affordability range.  Would drain my hobby budget for a month or more.  Have seen girls at $150-$200 and my experience varied widely.  Much more liable to be B&S or seedy incalls, etc.  Have had some negative experiences in that range.  I like one hour visits initially and if we click, then two hour visits after that.  $300 -maybe $400/hr.  fits that bill for my budget and there are many very beautiful, very experienced ladies here in the South in that range.
I'm not looking for PSE, more regular to GFE for me and want a predictably excellent experience with no unpleasant surprises.

Wear designer clothes and shoes, live in an expensive house, travel first class............................

Because those who do, have the funds to do so and feel that something they seek has been delivered.

Cost is what you pay, value is what you feel you have gotten.

I figure if I'm going to pay, and I have to travel, I want to get the all-around best provider I can. Usually that's meant $400+.  

The last one was $450 and apparently was having a bad day. Even on a good day, she wouldn't look as good nor probably perform as well as the one I was seeing for $400. The next one up I'm praying will live up to her reviews. She's $350.

If there are providers under $300 who are as good, the reviews and photos don't seem to bear that out

Guys who always go high end, are not victims of the economy. Women who charge high end prices are also not victims of the hooker market, because they make enough at a real job to only do this a few times a month. Why pay more? Because they can.

Most of those reviews are fake or placed by the manufacturer of the item or by fanboys.  
If you have the money to buy expensive items you could care less about reviews cuz if the item breaks you simply buy a new one.

I believe my income is on the low end of the TER scale. I see providers not just because it's fun, but because I really need to feel a woman.

With everything I spend money on, I can't always afford the best, but I get the best I can afford.  

I'll spend $1200+ for three hours every month or two, which is four or six hours for less expensive providers. It makes no sense for me to travel for to another state for an hour or two, though, and it makes even less sense to do that to save money on someone who doesn't really turn me on.

You said you are on the LOW END of income... duh, so you ARE affected by the economy. I am talking about men who generally don't blink at blowing over 2k on each date, and I mean several a month. Those guys have money to piss away.

No, not all men who see mostly high end providers will ONLY see them, but that does not mean they don't have the money. It means they saw someone at a lower rate who was hot as fk, they liked her personality, and saw her. I bet they did not get an hour though. Also, you really don't know what other men do, so it's all subjective. Just like there are men who will ONLY have steak at Peter Luger, there are men who will only see high end providers because they are under the assumption that paying more, always equates to better. Let em think what they want lol.

I think that runs counter to your argument. Or maybe it doesn't. I'm so easily confused. Old age or something.

I did hear about the fake reviews on Amazon. I recently was at a high end retailer and they told me what you wrote plus that some of the items are literally fake
