Strive for being content with yourself and your life. If you are expecting happiness to come from another you will always be dependent on others for your happiness. Build your life, enjoy your life and contentment will follow.

My second thought I am happy you are still riffing on Asscalade even though we haven't heard from him in ages, so "perhaps" there is still at least a sliver of hope that you still have a sense of humor. Your recent meltdown however makes me believe it only a very narrow sliver of hope.

...but I find some things bring me more happiness than others.

Time is a big one, for me. Being able to take time to spend with friends, go on a bicycle ride, sit by myself, or to simply stop on a ride or walk, and inhale deeply, the fragrance of a flower I've not seen before.

My greatest happiness comes from making others feel good, in whatever way I'm able.
Sometimes it's a kind word. Sometimes I put a smile on someone's face. And still, sometimes it's merely saying "Hello" when I make eye contact with a complete stranger.

Helping someone rise above their previous emotion or helping them to see that they're worth something more than they might think gets me off harder than most anything. I don't even care how I have to do it, sometimes

This is most definitely the place for a mental breakdown and she didn't even make the top ten list of meltdowns the other day. Of course BSC Taylor owns about 9 of the top ten melt downs here, and don't forget deb of the "got rope" thread. lol Maybe we can squeeze her meltdown into the top "eleven" perhaps?

I think in her case "happiness" would be the ability to turn the clock back to before the truth about her was common knowledge

People should be able to say whatever they want. Sex Money Feelings Emotions. It's all part of P4P. So many variables can lead to a great session or a disaster. Telling someone they need therapy is wrong on so many levels. We all have demons and ghost. What's wrong with looking for a pick me up every once in a while?  Let the man be. No need to ridicule him for this thoughts and asking an honest and open question. At the end of the day he's not hurting anyone.

Lower your expectations. Yes, it does apply even on a fuck board; when you lower your expectation it means not letting disappointment get the best of you. Carry on.

Although, there are legitimate reasons to get upset over blatant rip-offs and unsafe situations, but I don’t think it should destroy a life by living in fear and disappointment without being hopeful that happiness will come around again. Shrug it off.

Also just the opposite, there are legitimate times that things have gone so well they become the standard where the bar has been raised to the level where every other meeting or situation is measured against it, which may lead to disappointment when others’ don’t meet that perceived standard. Then, what does that say about happiness? Keep an eye out for the good.

Happiness is other things too, like hard work that leads to success towards a goal or career, or how often the struggle in sports that gets a championship is tremendous excitement and happiness. (Or with that escort, she wasn’t easy to book an appointment, but when it happened the sex was off the charts!). Perhaps it’s also contentment and reflecting on pleasant memories, like a fond memory with that special gal. Maybe with some, it’s making a lot of money, but I bet it’s the influence of how you make it also affects happiness—that is, people can make a lot of money but are unhappy in how they go about it. Then, why continue doing what you don’t like? (Find another way, get back to happiness.)

In this game, for the customer, it’s that special gal that made his day. Maybe for the provider it’s not only getting paid, but knowing she made the customer happy and even got some pleasure out of it herself—how often we read or hear about it? Will it always be the same every time? Probably not, but how do you know what happiness is if you don’t know what sorrow is? (another topic).

So be hopeful, set desire and goals no matter how lofty or small or doable, but at the same time don’t get your hopes up (as meeting a stranger in this game, first time, can be different for everyone even after doing research). If a paradox, then happiness is there and it isn’t (How do you feel in mind and body and health at any given moment?), but believe it when it happens and that’s the state worth living for—always keeping it in check as there may be an unexpected obstacle around the corner to get past.

On a good day, if things are going better than expected then you’re on the right track. (My 2-cents, even though I may be preaching to the chore, and yes, after what I wrote I agree; it is also a choice.)

It’s a sunny day; I’m going out for a walk to enjoy

I peer up over her B-cups to see her face is flush and she's softly biting her lower lip.

Sleeping in makes me happy.
Being out on the ocean makes me happy.

Not everyone finds their personal happiness, but letting go of things that make you unhappy may be equally important.

..a criminal state of mind that creates more sorrow in others than happiness in one doing the damage; if that’s the underlying premise to the logic?

But if values, maybe it’s understandable to be angry at a terrible boss that treat others unfairly (if that's the case) rather than to be angry at an innocent puppy that does nothing to create resentment.

Most likely a psycho would inflict harm on an innocent puppy. A disgruntled employee (in a fit of rage) would inflict harm on a boss, but his violent act may not make him psycho; especially if he has remorse after committing the act.

Underlying rule here is that happiness is okay as long as it doesn’t harm others, even if a boss is less than admirable. Otherwise, society has it’s consequences to murder and manslaughter

I went on a journey to discover what happiness is to me a few years ago and for me it is:

1. Being content exactly where I am be it sitting on a curb, in traffic or waiting in line.
2. Staying out of self and giving to others.
3. Agape Love!!

Sorry! Had to do that. It's from one of my favorite songs.

For me, happiness is a future plan. It might be a session with a beautiful TER lady. It might be a date with a civie. It could be a concert, a ball game, a poker party, a wilderness adventure, vacation, a lazy afternoon, a trip, dinner out, a massage (with or without a happy ending), an impossible to get book, a golf outing, a hobby conference, and many more things. Tomorrow I'm hiking with a gorgeous blonde. What can I say? I'm happy today thinking about tomorrow.

It's a win win win. I get the excitement of anticipation, the thrill of the actual event, and the post euphoria of a wonderful adventure. Of course, some things end up being more euphoric than others, but for the most part, all those future plans go way beyond what you anticipated.

One of its main points was that people who have money tend to be happier when they give their money to benefit others rather than buying a lot of stuff for themselves.

There are notable, even famous, exceptions of course.  :)

Although, what you said is off-key and JackFarm’s follow-up challenge made it a joke. I went in a different direction. (No offence taken.) Thanks for the response.

Movies like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre have done quite well at the box office, along with all its sequels. I remember that low budget movie John Carpenter’s Halloween (the only one I’ve seen, masterly filmed with low camera angles to create the suspense and horror) came out before Texas Chainsaw and also has its sequels. Then there are others that came after, like Scary Movie.

Fear is not going away, as it commands immediate attention and some even get off on it; but is it happiness or an adrenaline rush, like fight or flight to get the senses reeling, or in the case of impending doom to get the blood pumping to chill one to the bone?  Mix a little comedy with it to keep’em guessing, if that's the case.
