Do you believe people writing books or publishing papers know what they are talking about?

Like any media outlet,  you weigh the contents by their credibility,  following, trustworthiness, and reputation. But a media outlet is still a media outlet nonetheless.  You can't toss out everything by generalizing them as a whole. That's like saying book writers don't know what they are talking about.

But remember,  YouTube existed before books existed.  What if advertisements don't sell?

What if a meteor hit the earth today? Should we file a restraining order against the meteor? What if the case is tossed out? What then?

The guy looks like Joe Friday... and he's bringing the facts.

I'm sure he's got some research to back up his facts, but...

However,  I wouldn't dismiss YouTube or Facebook as a viable outlet. They are mainstream media now obviously. Better to question the content and author, not the medium in which it is delivered.

and even if I were, TER is being rather strict in what they let me put up here.

For example, I posted what I thought was an interesting article directed at business people about how to recover from a major faux pas.  I thought it had relevance to the business of the hobby as faux pas are not all that uncommon here.

TER disagreed and pulled it as not being erotic in nature.

If they continue to be so strict, I'll just stop posting interesting (to me, that is) articles altogether.

You might want to express your POV to TER on this.

...petition so that you can post whatever off-topic link you want?  I got your back bro, but I'm in the 'pussy posse', not 'fisher's fanatics.'

I'm a crowd pleaser.

In fact, since posting various and sundry articles, my fan mail has doubled.

I obviously can't divulge  both letters, but here's one:

Dear mrfisher,

Your postings have saved my life.  Before reading your posts and the articles you attach, I got only minimum wage and never ever got the pussy.

Now I am CEO of a big corporation, and the gals, they just line up outside my door.   They tell me that they think only of you when I have sex with them.

Your faithful follower.

.........(PM if you want the name.)

So, what am I to do now?

1) it's not that hard to scan back at least a week to see if that topic you are about to post hasn't been discussed recently.

2) your subject line humorously asks, "how did mrfisher miss this?" i just humorously threw that back at you.
Not to mention the fact that mrfisher obviously didn't miss this, since his was the first reply on the previous thread about the same topic, (which you missed!) lol
:D
