Especially those who are ignorant of her career as a provider?   Or do they leave their work at the office?

The answer is no.  It never occurred to me think about until I read this post.  Now I'll probably lie awake all night considering the awful acts that must be going on at my friends houses, and ewwww - parish the thought, images of my parents in bed...

Giggle,

I try to imagine my folks in the throes of passion [or whatever] which resulted in the presence of me and my four siblings on this planet  -- and I don't know whether to laugh, to cry, to vomit uncontrolably or to lock up all potentially fatal household objects until the thought passes.  Ick!!

Mom, the professional victim, no doubt a virgin on her weeding night, no doubt in lifelong ignorance of any notion of sex as a basic pleasure-giving and pleasure-taking activity, let alone anything more expressive of a deep emotional relationship between two persons.  And, if not in lifeling ignorance, in total  lifelong denial. God only knows, if she ever experienced an orgasm, she probably felt guilt over it for a year. Dad, a ne'er-do-well would be rakehell who suceeded only in diminishing and poisoning the lives of all he touched. And who could never understand why anyone, particularly his misbegotten offspring, would object to those behaviors. Christ.  What a pair.  What an argument in favor of asexual reproduction.

Apologies for attaching this overly personal rant to your post.  It just had to come out, and Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day are too far off to wait.
