delayed date time question

Hello.
I was just wondering about something and I think the ladies probably would know this better than us guys.
If a date is set up with a lady let say at 7 and for 2 hrs, but something happened and the guy calls to let her know he'll be late, say 7 30.  Would the date begin officially at 7 30 or 7?
This hasn't happen to me, but I was just wondering in case it ever does in the future.
Thanks.

Sometimes a gal will start the clock when you get there but sometimes that will not be possible even if she wants to.  If she has other bookings you may have to face the fact that you are going to lose that half hour. It's not fair to her other customers to keep them waiting.

If it hasn't happened yet, do your best to make certain it doesn't if you are depending on the full session time. She can have a myriad of previous committments.

Of course is to call her and let her know you will be late. She may or may not be able to accommodate your request to arrive 30 or 40 minutes late. The assumption that she has other clients after you may not always be accurate. Providers have lives outside the industry. She may have a dinner date with girlfriends, a nail appointment, or even a PTA meeting...

I always consider the time you ACTUALLY ARRIVE to be the beginning of our appointment.
