I am sure most of you have heard this story, but years ago I was having a VERY bad day at the tables, I lost around $30 K that day, normally I don't go much over $300 hr for hookers as in most places I find myself there is simply no need to do so, but of course Vegas is different. AAR I saw five different $500 hookers that day to do exactly what you said "get my mind off losing" looking back on the day, I am sure the $2,500 I spent on hookers probably saved me another twenty grand I most likely would have lost on the tables that day. lol

Then a bunch of shit happened and sucked that money right out of my pocket.

Any found money such as tax refund, credit card cash back, etc always goes towards pussy.

Don't get them any more because I can't claim my children and capital gains tax.

Simply increase your withholdings and you can get that annual overpayment that the IRS sends to those careless taxpayers who lend the government money at no interest.

I'm not of the mind that any money I come into is anything other than mine and so part of the overall spending equation -- meaning just because I get a windfall in some way I don't consider it "free" money. That said, yes, which my income takes an unexpected turn for the better what better uses for a chunk of it than sharing with a young lady!

So I don't treat myself when I get a windfall. I invest it and/or give it to charity. I have funds enough to meet my entertainment disires. I just don't get a thrill from spending recklessly.

I am good at making sure "life" is paid for. Other than that everything I do with money is dumb. "Found" money just goes into the pot. When I do pay for a hooker that is out of my regular budget I usually regret it because let's face it...pussy is pussy. A quality lower priced hooker can work it just as well as the higher priced hookers and have just as much personality. None of them are going to be my SO. Why should I pay more because she has super model looks if she doesn't perform any better than my girl next door looking hooker

Unlike one is an exceptionally good gambler or lucky for most people they lose more than they win.  

Unless somebody out of the blue gives you free cash with no string attached most if not all of the "found money" based on your perception are not totally FREE. They already come with a cost: the tax refund you get is actually YOUR money to start with, credit card cash back is really just discount from your bill etc...

The moment AFTER you nut not much that happened really matters anymore because you're already looking forward to your next nut, whoever that provider may be.

Table win get $360 which you trade for pussey lose you lose 10 out of week budget. Work well for Income minding people. Balance sheet people there are still down and never recovered will be better off putting 10 a week under the bed for 38 weeks with 20 to spear at the end.
 

Skyfrye I really like what you had to say about money and could not agree more. A free pen is not free someone has to pay for it.

The whole point of doing that is being able to take a portion of the proceeds, and spending it on luxuries.  Luxuries to me include travel and pu$$y...not necessarily in that order.

I can't say that I enjoy it any less or any more, it makes no difference to me whether I'm paying out of my gambling profits or labor profits. The way I see it I'm working for that money either way, whether I'm applying my skills or handicapping a game.

Remember when dime juice used to be the norm? I don't think I have paid dime juice for maybe ten years now. The difference is huge as anyone who measures success in gambling not by days or even weeks, but by how you end up at the end of the season. It's pretty easy to do a couple of million in "handle" over the course of a baseball or football season. If you were breaking even at dime juice, the difference in having a book who gave you nickel juice would result in a profit of a hundred grand without getting the slightest bit better at handicapping.
