Since it's Opening Day (in Boston, at least), here's a slow pitch over the plate.
Who's your first Rock 'n' Roll or TV love? (I suppose Liberace or Caruso could also count for some ...) For me it's Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders. The sweetest voice that somehow had just enough sneer. And providers, if you can rock that red leather jacket, all I can say is "have spork will travel ..."
Tina Turner was an incredible combination of talent, energy, and raw sexuality. Joan Jett was, and still is, hot, and looked super-hot in a leather jacket.
Joplin... killer body. 1st rock concert at Philly's version of Fillmore, the Electric Factory... first row, lace see thru top ... tight jeans. Coulda popped there and then ... at 17
Number one on my lust list would be: Joe Elliott from Def Leppard Fast second would be non other than Bon Jovi A hard 3rd would be Kip Winger from Winger A lusty vote for David lee Roth (Van Halen) and Steve Perry (Journey)
I know the days are long gone for long hair bad boy hair bands, but at the time, they were the ones that got me excited the most...and they still do!
Never even heard of half the names in this thread. I just Googled Janice Jopling. I had to run for my eye bleach.
If you must know, Mister fucking nosy, my first three hard ons were for Jessica Simpson, Brittany Spears and Mandy Moore. Yes, I know. It's sad all 3 got old and lost all their looks. *Sigh*
Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart early days. Pat Benatar!
Nancy and Pat both are still hot in my opinion at their ages! Nancy still plays the hell of the guitar too! Hard to beat a Heart concert even today, standing in front of Nancy while watching Her show...
Not that she wasn't hot in her time, but you must be 30 years old.
And to not know who Janis Joplin is? I was a teen in the 1960's, and I knew who Frank Sinatra was. Hell, I even knew Al Jolson, Bunny Berigan, Robert Johnson, and other singers from the 1920's and 1930's.
She probably look even worse now. I still think the first pic you posted was hottt and when I saw her she was very hot. But tgank you for you efforts. Please don't think I'm trying to persuade you either way. DRGAF
Quite frankly I feel vey sad for people who do not "evolve" musically and still only like music from 30 years ago (yes its been that long). Yes, I was a fan of 80's hair bands too...but also other types of music. My handle gives me away as a Phish fan and yes they started in the late 80's. The difference...uhm they are still making new records and yes they will be doing a 13 day run at the Garden this summer, doubt Poison or the Crue would be able to pull that off.
Sadly she fell apart. I saw her when the band was called Big Brother and the Holding Company with no mention of her name. They were the opening act for Steppenwolf and totally blew them off the stage. We listened to a song or two and bolted on Steppenwolf the headliner. It was shortly thereafter the band was called Janis Joplin and Big Brother and the Holding Company.
