So I have to go to john school. Its all about eliminating human trafficking by dealing with the johns, not the pimps. It tries scare hobbyists into thinking that every provider is under a pimp and gets beat, raped, and controlled. Not only does it say that for every provider but also for every exotic dancer and adult actress.

This is regrettable, but not really a surprise.

I cannot agree with you that it is total BS. Even with 'reputable' entities I have witnessed acts of coercion and women just generally being taken advantage of. Or letting themselves be taken advantage of, in many cases (co-dependency). I have even witnessed what I would call pimping. From the outside, a client would never be able to tell...I could not tell, at first. I only became privy to some of these situations after getting to know the women over a period of months...

I agree that it is largely useless and unjust to lay blame upon the johns. But your market is known for crackdowns like this...if nothing else, hopefully this teaches you that $250-500 is not THAT expensive...when compared with the prospect of 'john school'

35+ years ago I was busted for possession of less than 1/8 oz of pot and was made to go to several 'Drug aversion classes'. In those classes I learned from an alcoholic guest speaker how to get drunk as a skunk on less than an ounce of wine, and I met more contacts for scoring drugs of any sort than I ever could have imagined.

About 25 years ago I got popped in a vice sting and was mandated to go to a similar "John School" as you. Difference was back then HIV-AIDS was the focus and I found myself surrounded by Heroine-needle addicts.

I totally understand your frustration at having to attend a totally worthless class.  

I was in your spot as a provider.  

For eight hours, I was subjected to:

poorly educated black ladies yelling me at me all day long in the ghetto
lots of prayer
a sign in the bathroom that read - Do not flush your weave down the toilet.  
an hour long segment about nutrition followed by a lunch of fried chicken and Kool-Aid
a detective lecturing me about how I'm going to end up dead
"nurses" attempting to force me to subject to HIV testing
and last but not least, absolutely nothing of any value.  

The women teaching clearly had an agenda to preach in every sense of the word preach, since the class was taught by a religiously affiliated organization - all whores are uneducated drug addicts who are forced into this business. I have a graduate degree and while my life is nowhere near perfect, I am here by choice. I don't even drink, much less touch any drugs. I was in a totally different social class than the leaders of the class, yet they were intent on damning my choices. Fuck that. Instead of shaming the women during that eight hours, they should have presented viable employment options for women who wanted the leave the business, a practical guide to expungement, resume writing tips, etc.  

But nope. It's easier to shame whores than to help whores.

That class made me angry and I swore that eventually I would do something to change the way sexworkers are prosecuted and rehabilitated in the city of Chicago. I don't care if I am eighty years-old. Eventually, I will change things

The OTHFATC are paying ladies that are advertising P4P. I have never once seen a provider that didn't advertise, stands to reason right. I'll admit I'm over the hill, a little over weight and I've never been an attractive man (I've said a hundred times if I've said it once, if we were all good looking then no one would be). I don't impose myself on others, the good looking, sexy women I'm able to see are women who make their living seeing out of shape not so good looking men like me. Do I expect that she really wants to be with me? Hell no, I'm a realist. Now for the OTHFB's who give these classes, if they are the alternative, then I'll just jack off for the rest of my life. I will never again settle, it ain't happening. I was at an adult bookstore buying videos (back when there were such things) and a church group showed up on the sidewalk of the bookstore to protest it being there, and they were trying to shame or embarass the patrons. When I walked outside to my car, a couple of the OTHFB's yelled out to me something about their morality for me. So I replied, what, are you my alternative? No thank you, I'll pass.

I agree that human trafficking needs to be stopped, and I'll never see a lady that I suspect is trafficked. But then,again I don't see BP bargain basement ladies like the OP, so I have some bit of confidence that the ladies I see are doing so out of their own free will.

So you can try to insult us, your clients. But in the end we are the ones paying, so we don't have to be good looking, we have Benjamin and he makes us a lot more tolerable. This is not to say I advocate abuse or taking advantage of a provider, I just refuse to settle for some OTHFB that I could attract.
