I see post every day: Will be in XXX and need a recomendation for a (fill in the blanks). When I first joined this board I saw this as a way to get a recommendation for some ladies that I had seen their reviews and wanted input from past clients so I wouldn't waste my money. As it turned out, the board had nothing to do with whom I saw. Well not exactly true b/c I did discuss a lady in PM. But having been around the block now, the last thing I would do is recommend my ATF to someone who I have no idea who they are. It's about provider safety issues. Am I being paranoid or what? Now, where did I put those rolling papers?

Referrals are important aspect of this hobby which is dependent on sharing information, the ladies, and a way of rewarding exceptional ladies. However, I don’t give a recommendation to any Joe blow who ask for one.  I only give recommendation (via E-mail or PM only) to guys who I have done a preliminary check on first.  One thing I look at is if they have submitted reviews either to TER or other boards. If we have seen the same ladies; do we have similar impression of her?  If we have not seen the same ladies are his reviews consistent with reviews by other hobbyist who have seen the same lady. In the end, it the ladies responsibility to do the thorough screening.

No, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that someone isn't really out to get you. With all the LE activity in Hotlanta, I don't know if i'm doing my ATF a favor or not, by giving her a recommendation. Now where's my crack pipe? Oh, it's under my bong. Just my $.0000002 Deflation you know (I didn't inhale, ala Clinton. Or was it? I don't want to talk about it, ala Bush, or was it? I'm not here to talk about the past ala McGwire. oops wrong board.

No, you are not being paranoid.

I have had several requests for recommendations about specific ladies.

My first action when that happens is to contact the lady in question and ask if she has been in contact with that person.
if not, I don't respond.
If she has, I ask if she wants me to respond.
Sometimes she will say yes, he has contacted her, but she is not interested in him, other times she says he is ok and it's ok to give a recommendation. It's up to her.
I would never respond to an inquiry without the lady being aware.
That is for her safety.

Just my opinion...

I've tried PMing guys a few times to get backchannel information on certain providers. But I don't do that anymore for the very reason that she may be your ATF and I could get no information from you and If I do, it may not be reliable coz you might've spoken to her and gotten some input from her. Either way, it could be a waste of time. I think I've done this long enough and am intelligent enough to make an informed decision based upon the reviews and profiles.

I'm assuming your ATF advertises, has reviews, and seeks new clients on a regular basis. How can your recommendation put her in any more danger than if someone just picked her at random?

That is like saying that you won't recommend your doctor, attorney, bank or favorite restaurant to a stranger because you're afraid they might want to do them harm.

Why don't you ask your ATF if she would like you to recommend her to someone inquiring here? Bet most ladies would say, "Sure, thanks".

I know all too well the value of word of mouth advertising and have no problems if a gentleman recomends me to others. I would though expect that he not divulge any personal information about me that is not on my site. I get inquiries all the time from total strangers from adds thus a recomendation to me is no different. I still even if a gent says XXXXX recomended me to him prescreen the new gent as I do any prospective new client.
