Very few cases are openly discussed.

One client told me he'd contracted chlamydia, and advised me to get tested, as I'd recently been with him (it's unlikely that he got it from me). But I was never tested for it, I was only given antibiotics as a precautionary measure. The antibiotics are deemed to have no ill side effects, and are prescribed in the case of known exposure.

Other than that, I've personally had no issues.

I've heard things through the provider/client grapevine. But those tidbits are impossible to either verify or deny.  

It's doubtful that anybody, either provider or client, with a STI will be forthcoming with the information, as it would make it difficult for them to get future dates...

If it was reported that a provider knowingly provided with an STI, it would be struck down as hearsay...

Best course of action is to decide what level of risk you personally are comfortable assuming, and protect yourself accordingly

I remembered there was a survey here at TER regarding STD.  Can't remember the exact number, but a significant percentage of people did get STD in this field.  The risk is there no matter how careful you are.

Chlamydia is extremely common.  The problem is that majory who has it has no symptoms, and majory who has it will eventually heal by itself in the long term even without treatment.  Lucky, its a disease that can be esasily treated. Azithromycin 1 g oral once can eliminate this shit in 7 days > 95% of the time.

Yes, you can get chalymedia or even gonorrhea by receiving oral. The risk is low but the risk is there.  
Both diseases can be esaily treated. But there are rare cases that can get very complicated.

Found it. 13% claimed that they had contracted STD from providers.

not a small number.  21% claimed that they do drugs during the session, surprisingly high.  43% said they had STD before, interesting.

These were the resilts from tge 2 surveys TER had on STDs:

Have you ever had an STD
43%  -   Yes
56%  -   No

Have you ever caught an STD from a provider?
13%  -   Yes
86%  -   No

The first survey says nothing about the hobby, just a general question. The second one is hobby related. I haven't found one that asked providers if they have caught STDs from hobbyists.

Keep in mind that TER surveys are very easy to manipulate (as are most surveys) but you are the one who brought up the survey, so I 'm just showing you the actual survey results.

I can honestly say I have never gotten either in my personal life or in this line of work. I do take serious precaution though and don't allow cim because if you got an STD/STI there it could take months before the symptoms start to show and then every man you gave a BBBJ to or every girl you had a threesome with would be subject to it. I also make sure to get tested every month just for a extra sense of security and because in all honesty every provider should make sure she gets herself tested. Whether it be twice a year or every month.  
   
 I remember I had a provider ask why I didn't do cim and told me I'd book more if I did. I told her my reasoning and about getting an STD/STI in your mouth or throat and she acted like I was ignorant and said there was no possible way that it could happen and she'd never heard of it happening. 😑  
   
 It is actually possibly to get an STD in your eye as well but lets not go there lol  
   
 The only thing I've ever got from this was a yeast infection once when a guy kept spitting on me down there, just over and over. A few days later I got one and that's the only thing I could think of. Ever since then I use my own lubrication or my own saliva.  
   
 This hobby is supposed to be safe and discreet for all parties involved and I know the parties on both sides could have wives, husbands, etc. So I feel like we should all do our part and contribute to discussions on this subject by both adding information and tips on how to stay safe and have fun.
