A question of reviews and websites

How important are websites to the gents? Is it a must? And when searching the reviews, how does a gent go about it?

My reviews were reinstated today (Hoorah-and thank you!), but since I do not have an escorting website any longer, they are posted in the bad website section.

Hmmm, that may not leave a good impression, I thinks. I didn't want to set up another website, but do not know if this would have a negative impact or impression on gents?

Does a ladies placing on the bad website section affect your choice in seeing a lady?  Do those reviews come up when putting in search criteria?

And I saw a negative blurp somewhere about the type of site one lady had?  Why does this make a difference?  Are there other alternatives that gents would find acceptable?

When searching for reviews on TER, the default is to NOT show reviews that have a bad website.  To see your reviews, the gent must explicitly change the option on the search form from "Exclude Bad Websites" from YES to NO.  Most guys aren't even aware of this.

You can have a simple website at geocities for about $9 a month, seems like a worthwhile investment.

or $5/month

Even for free with very limited bandwidth, but I don't recommend it.

I've become pretty discriminating since joining the TER community. I look both for reviews, and a website with some images as well as other info.
I got burned too many times by ROB and B&S in my pre-TER hobby days.
Doesn't mean I wouldn't TOFTT if I came across someone very appealing, but I am more likely to give credence to a thorough website than I would say, a post on Craig's list.

When I do a search on a given city, at some point I like to look at a website. If "Report New Website" is listed, or if I have trouble getting to the website that is listed, impatience takes over. More than likely, I don't follow up on that particular lady, unless I come across her again somewhere.

Having said that, my interest in you came from reading your posts, rather than a search of your city. So the lack of a website would not have been an issue in that case.

Helpful, perhaps, but reviews, IMO, are much more useful. Pictures can be deceiving, or at least misleading. The written text however, can be enticing [but one never knows who wrote it], or off-putting. Information such as donation, location, in/out are valued.

so create a little page, link your reviews, slap some pics on it, you will be fine, the clients will come to you.

I prefer to see a relatively recent picture of the provider and a few reviews.  The picture can be a single listing on Eros (or a similar site)--it does not have to be a full website, but it needs to be fairly current.  If there are only one or two reviews, then I need to get more info, and an informative website is necessary. I am not willing to see a provider who does not have reviews and does not have a posted picture somewhere.

My ATF took her website down shortly after I started seeing her (yes, I found her thru TER w/website link) and I saw her for many months this way. Then one day she tells me she is putting up a new website and as I feared it consumed much of her attention due to all the new inquiries. I knew she must have done it to increase her business but it has changed things with her. There is a middleground of ladies who don't advertise and from what I can tell many of them do pretty well. It's all about getting connected with the right people.

I'd say a must.

This is a very visual, and sensual hobby (not to mention subjective in what is good or not so good), and the paying customer almost always wants to "see the merchandise" so to speak.

Who would want to set up an appointment, get face to face and think, "She doesn't turn me on at all"? You have to know *something* about your provider.

You need not show your face on your site, for obvious reasons, but at least some alluring photos in a bikini or lingerie are I'd think the bare minimum (bad pun). You also need not be pornographic; you can leave a lot to the imagination and still be intriguing and alluring...and that, my gentle miss, is what your website is FOR: to intrigue, lure and drive business!
Other important things are pages for rates (see other sites for how to format this with the proper disclaimers to avoid LE trouble), how to contact/reference data, and something that hints at your personality, your approach to service, any rules you have, etc.

First of all you've got mail regarding this question. Secondly, the hotmail email kicks back when I tried it. I emailed your other email with my suggestions. Good time last week and I'm awfully glad you are back in the saddle again. If you received the email, please acknowledge.FYI, the reason I was attracted to you is threefold: reviews (mostly excellent, then the website to at least get some more personal data ie. as mentioned in these posrs and lastly your very intelligent and interesting posts on TER natl discussion board. All three combined led me to you and boy am I a happy man as a result!
