For curiosity's sake: why are all users allowed to comment on a provider's post on the ad board? I think it's pretty obnoxious to see that under someone's ad is a reply saying how awesome that person is or a comment on how much someone misses so-and-so...

Could we change it so only the original poster can reply to their post (ad boards only)?

Obviously, not a big deal, just a suggestion.

If your suggestion was adopted by TER.

I am guilty of posting comments from time to time under the providers ad thread.  I did not even realize how annoying that looks until I read your post, and thought about it some.  I will stop doing that in the future.

If nothing else, those comments just clutter things up.   And I like things tidy, dangit! LOL!

I also don't need someone to kiss my ass in a public forum... privately does just nicely, thank you. ;-)

I've gotten emails from potential clients who remark that I obviously have a lot of fans, thus I probably don't have time for him blah blah blah... so these (perhaps well-intentioned) comments under my ad posts may be partly to blame.

Sometimes other providers post replies too; if they work together, that's one thing.... but posting a reply to compliment the other lady?  Again, it may be well-intentioned, but I could personally do without it.
It's sweet and flattering, but if you want to say something nice, PM me.  The whole world doesn't need to know.

...At one time it was but recently it was declared against the rules. A provider posted about her comment being removed and TER's explanation.
