Ignoring my Ignore request

I’m finding a few instances when I try to add a handle to my “ignore” list when the system responds I’m not allowed to ignore that particular handle. Did that person pay extra to be unignorable?  Or what’s happening? The function works perfectly well for other names so I know it’s a real thing.

And you can not ignore an alias poster.

I hope this helps,

Thanks. One wonders why they built it that way. It’s those who hide behind aliases (aliai?) that are more likely to be the offensive jerks we’d all like to ignore!

There was a brief time some years ago when TER made it possible to ignore an alias, but ignoring the alias automatically put that person’s username on ignore, effectively outing the alias. They discontinued that function and just made it impossible to ignore an alias again.

Thanks for the background. That hardly seems like an impossible issue to fix to be honest. I hope it’s on somebody’s list of things to fix.

Don't hold your breath. Just the other day, I read a post from 3 yrs ago with a great suggestion on ways to update providers' bio data when newer reviews are posted (age, weight, etc), and so far, nothing but crickets.
